Please do not take your animals to Continental Boarding if you love them! Majority of the staff are exteremely dishonest and you DO NOT get what you pay for. I have boarded my dog there on several occasions and EVERY TIME, she has come back with some sort of infection that has needed Vet attention such as pink eye, gastrointestinal issues etc. I have never had a problem with her health until I started bringing her to CB. The only good thing I can honestly say about this facility is it's training! The trainer is the best at what she does and truly cares about the animals. Bathing prices are outrageous as are the prices for the Luxury Suites. The owner is EXTREMELY slack in returning phone calls and messages and seems to "avoid" those that want to address and discuss issues concerning our pets. I was also very surprised when I toured the facility. The smell of bleach was soo overpowering that my eyes started to water!!! I can only imagine how the dogs feel, since the doors are kept closed during extreme heat and/or cold. Needless to say I was not satisfied at all by the way they took care of my dog, due to the condition she was returned to me in. I have since stopped taking her there to be boarded and now use a friend to watch her when I am out of town. Please beware!!

Pros: large outdoor play areas, wonderful training programs

Cons: deceitful, over priced, not completely sanitary

My 7 month old large puppy goes to playcare there quite a few times a week. He has a blast. I drop him off in am he is very eager to go see his doggie friends. The staff greats him like he was their own dog, He loves everyone there. If there were as many problems as everyone is saying I dont think my dog would love to go. My guy loves to play in the dirt ( not their fault), he gets himself all muddy during the day, they are kind enough to rinse him off for me, and will have him ready when I come to get him,If I call ahead to let them know I am on my way. I have never exeprienced any problems, I feel some of these reviews are disgruntled employees. My advise is call ahead, have a tour meet the staff, I am sure you will be as pleased as I am.

Pros: Everyone there loves the dogs.

Cons: Havent found any

We called and got a quote for our dog to stay for the board and train program. We were given the price and agreed to take the dog in. (it was very high price too) our dog was there about 8 days and was supposed to be working with a trainer. We told them we weren't leaving town, only trying to do some training. They never called to give us updates and when i called about 5 days into the training the person over the phone said it wasn't going well. Our dog couldn't be trained. Why did they continue to board the dog when they weren't able to train her?? Instead they charged us a much higher price than we were quoted over the phone. They promised the owner would correct the overcharges that we paid and they would stand by the original quote for the boarding we received just a week before. Then they said the decided to raise the price after we called and we never received any money back. Our puppy was attacked by an older dog while there. Seriously enough that she had to go to the vet and be put on antibiotics. That is why they didn't call to report the dogs training wasn't going well because they didn't want us to know they allowed our dog to be injured. The should have contacted us immediately when the dog was injured. In fact they still wouldn't admit it when we picked the dog up but i questioned why he was on antibiotics. They just handed me the bag with instructions written on it. I asked why happened and it was like, oh its nothing. The huge gash in my dogs leg was somethign to us. This place was our first boarding experience with our dog and it was a total nightmare. I have since learned that anyone who says a dog cant be trained isn't a good trainer. Run the other way people, run fast!

Pros: it seemed like a large place

Cons: staff didnt seem caring, didnt communicate, service was poor when we had a problem

The folks at Continental are the best that we have found in Charlotte by far. They truly care for my Labrador and took the best care of her while she was there for a week. She has come back from other locations in a distressed manner but when I picked her up I could immeadiately tell this was very different. They have a great facility including a big grass field and I now bring my dog to doggie daycare twice a week. They are very kind people and I wish the new owners all the luck.

Pros: Big Field, Caring Staff, Super Clean
