Yummy!

If you want fantastic, authentic Chinese food in a relaxing atmosphere, then The Great Wall is the place to go. We have been to several Chinese restaurants in the Charlotte area and The Great Wall is the best by far. The Fantasy Shrimp is highly recommended.

LOVE THIS PLACE

I have been eating here for years. I was actually 3 when they opened! Every sunday, my parents would take us to eat. During the week, it's the place we would beg to go.

Since I was a child, this is the place I have gone every year for my birthday. It's my tradition. Even though I live an hour away now, I still go. I love that they will make my food however I want it. Plus, their tea? Oh My God. Wonderful.

I now take my children there. It's a family thing.

Excellent Chinese food

We have been going there for years. When my children come home they want to have food from Great Wall . Service is good

• Pros: Can also find coupons for specials on their dinners and lunches. They have a couple of rooms in the back for special occassions or for large family gatherings.
• Cons: They use to deliver and hate that they have not resumed that service

Great food, nice atmosphere at a goo price

I have eaten here numerous times and have always been pleased. The decor is nice though fairly conservative and the food is great.

The SaCha Scallops I would highly recommend.

You can easily get out with $10-12 lunch including tip.

• Pros: Good foo, good price
• Cons: Parking at lunch time can be tight

Best Chinese in Charlotte

I have been eating at the Great Wall of China South since it opened up its doors back in the eighties. I have tried many Chinese restaurants in and around the Charlotte area, and I still enjoy their food the best of all. They have been very busy updating their restaurant this year so the atmosphere is even better. This restaurant is great for family dining or a date. Lunch and the Sunday buffet is the best time to go for those on a budget. Their shrimp and broccoli (spicy) is great!

• Pros: Tasty delicious Chinese cuisine/quick service.
• Cons: Can be pricey at night.

Could be a lot better.

When I went there the food was decent, but nothing fantastic. The carpet was really dirty and the atmosphere was pretty 80's-vegas. Service was unenthusiastic at best, although they did get a 2nd round of drinks. I would say you could do a lot better going somewhere else.

• Pros: Food was pretty tasty.
• Cons: Could be cleaner, service, dining area styling.

BEST KUNG PAO IN CHARLOTTE

Since moving from DC 2 years ago, this is the best by far-The ownership has got it going down there.

Stay away from the Kitten Surprise and the Ruff Ruff Puppy.

Great experience. Classy atmosphere.

This is a great place to eat. A little above average on the price but a great value. The food is excellent and the environment is nice, with two very large fish tanks with many tropical exotic fish and coral. Food is hot and people are friendly. Good for well-behaved children but could be a nice date restaurant as well.
