I do not know how anyone with taste buds can stand the food. The wait is too long, the service is lousy and frankly I've had better food from a Waffle House. Now that's gross

This is the best restaurant that you will ever want to eat at!..My husband and myself eat at Courtneys whenever possible. I wish that this restaurant would be open for Dinner though. I would never want to cook myself then! It has the most tasty food that you WILL NOT find anywhere else in Charlotte or the surrounding area. I know, I have tryed way too many others! The service is unbeatable and very kid friendly too. They go the extra mile to make sure that you are satisfyed. The prices are unbelievably low considering what you get. Yes, I recommend all my friends and family to eat at this wonderful and very clean restaurant..
Pros: Thumbs up to all the great food and service
Cons: Wish that it would stay open longer

I don't recall every leaving a restaurant after just tasting my food before, but that's what we did at Courtney's. The food was completely tasteless and swimming in grease - even adding salt and pepper didn't help! I ordered the Californian - eggs scrambled with veggies and cream cheese and it was the most unappetizing pile of mush that I'd ever seen. The staff was not at all friendly or attentive, and the inside of this restaurant is 1970's depressing. I promptly drove over to another restaurant to eat and will never go back to Courtney's again.
Cons: food, ambience, service

Okay, I'm really not a complainer, but...I ordered coffee, they bring carafes of water and coffee, the carafe was NASTY, so obviously I didn't drink the coffee. Ordered our breakfast, my husband's was hot, mine was cold as if it had been sitting for awhile. No one came to check on us after the food was delivered, we had to get up and ask someone for things that we needed. We still couldn't get anyone to check on us, so we just left without eating, we had a coupon and when we were paying the "hostess"asked how everything was and I told her that it was terrible and that I'm glad I was using a coupon. She just said"OH" not I'm so sorry, nothing. On the way home I just got a little more upset. I paid for breakfast I didn't eat and came home and ate cereal. Tried to call a manager and they wouldn't come to the phone. The person that answered the phone picked it up after having me on hold and I heard her saying that it was probably a complaint call, and did they want to take it. So rude. By the way, their sanitation score is a 90, we were starving so we stayed anyway, HUGE mistake.
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything

I do not know how anyone can take the taste out of food, but somehow this restaurant magically has performed such a feat. Even salt could not save this expensive breakfast. The fast food restaurants around the corner have a better breakfast, and I pretty much dislike fast food restaurants. Perhaps Courteny's believes the majority of its senior customers have lost their taste buds. Who knows?.
Pros: Service was good
Cons: Expensive price to pay for tasteless food

1st of all, the subject header says it all. My cup of coffee was served with grounds in it, and the eggs benedict, was just unacceptable, the enlglish muffin was cold and hard, overtoasted, and the canadian bacon had gone bad, it was literally purple, and covered in sauce and with the poached egg to try to disguise it. When the manager was told about this, there was no apology, all I got was in a irritated and rushed tone of voice, "Well, what else do you want?" I would never eat here again, or recommend it to anyone else and frankly I hope it does get shut down.
Pros: There service was quick, but careless
Cons: There is just not enough parking for early morning breakfasts

The food was average, although the portions were very large. I feel we paid more than we should have since over half of the food went to waste. If you are like me and don't like to waste, be sure to consider large portions before ordering. I don't think we will go back since we could get the same quality at a better price elsewhere. They didn't have hash browns or biscuits and gravy which was also a disappointement.
Pros: Large portions, Service, Quick In and Out
Cons: Large portions, Expensive, No wait on a Sunday

This place is great to bad the rumors are that it might close (tendent/landloard dispute) and don't know if will reopen in another area.
Pros: good food, good service, very busy...
Cons: Poor parking, could close

The morning rush brings Charlotte residents here to breakfast for great proportions, friendly service, and an extensive menu. Our favorite here is the breakfast combo, where you can mix and match Courtney's selection depending on your brunching palate for the day. I couldn't think of a better way to punctuate my Southern breakfast with creamy grits and the boat full of smoke sausage slices. The fruit sampler is huge although some of the orange slices and cantaloupe slices were dry. The Beglium waffles are tasty as well. Thoroughly filling. Go early to beat the wait. -KE
Pros: Portions, Value, Flexible Menu
Cons: Long brunch waits
