Fantastic menu - from sandwiches to entrees. Terrific wine selection and many beers on tap. Service is friendly and fast. Best staff in Charlotte anywhere.
Great place to meet friends, old and new.
Cheers!

A few years ago a family member steered me to this small cozy pub in the heart of Charlotte. In a town filled with corporate steakhouses and impersonal chain restaurants, a nice old style city pub is a pleasant change of pace. Often misconstrued as an English restaurant , the menu is quite diverse with influences ranging from Latin, Asian , Mediterranean and even Eastern European cultures! As a frequent regular, I am treated as family. A case of nepotism? I think not. Even new faces are treated with such candor. The waitstaff's knowledge of the cuisine is impeccable, and the bartenders will be quick to pour you a "perfect" pint of Guiness or one of the other ever changing drafts. As a native "yankee" , I often bring out of town relatives and friends to my favorite watering hole. They have never been unsatisfied! A beer savant and gourmand lost in a city of bud light and chicken tenders, I always know I can duck into this charming establishment for good food, great beer and stimulating conversation!
- Pros: I can't even begin to list...
- Cons: May be a little crowded on weekends..
If Cheers was a real place this would be it!!!

Wow, The menu at Sir Ed's is a fine piece of work. They have a little bit of everything. The bar food as well as entree's is amazing. The servers are nice and friendly, a bit slow from time to time but never leave you hanging. Bartenders are always there.
- Pros: Late nite food, Great people watching and meeting
- Cons: can be smokey at times
Tried to scam us stay away or pay cash.

Very lazy service. One guy even asked us to go inside and find some menus....we were eating outside. But the worst part, a week later I checked my credit card. and me and the other 2 guys I were with all got charged about $10 more each than we had originally paid. Bad service is one thing, but thieving service is a whole other level.
I rate this a "stay away"
- Pros: nice outdoor area
- Cons: Thieves
Great Neighborhood Bar

This is the type of place you can bring a first date, start the night, or END the night. Always a good time everytime I've been there. Service can be slow at times, but it's always when the place is packed, which is understandable. If you like sushi, try their's! I was skeptical @ first, but it's really good. They also have a great patio to enjoy the spring / summer nights. It reminds me of the TV show "Cheers"....There are steps going down the pub. Great atmosphere with dim lighting. Perfect rainy day bar as well. Always good vibes there!
Consistent and Confortable

The food is always great, a good selection of standard pub fare and then some nicer dishes, as well. Always a great selection of beers on tap, too. The atmosphere just makes you want to settle in for a casual evening of drinking and dining with friends. Plus, I went to Big Ben's on Providence (so very bad!) last night and could only think about Sir Edmond's
- Pros: Great Food And Confortable Atmosphere For Drinks
- Cons: Sometimes Overrun With Drunk Soccer Moms on a Night Out
great atmosphere

Tucked into a strip mall, this cozy gem of a pub offers hearty fare and a seat with a view.

The Scene
It's tucked in the back of the Park Road Shopping Center, and you'll probably have to ask directions the first time. Dark wood paneling, British beers on tap and a regulation dartboard make it authentic, even if the server's Southern accent gives it away. Go to the back room to find the jukebox, darts and tables with built-in checkers and backgammon.
The Food
Think hearty and warm. Burgers and sandwiches are large enough for two meals, served with slaw that strikes a good balance between mayo and vinegar. Fish and chips--the ultimate pub fare--is moist and tender, with just a hint of doughiness in the batter crust. A real standout is the flourless chocolate cake, an island of chocolate decadence on a sea of fruit coulis and berries, accompanied by vanilla ice cream.
Delicious!

We have gone to this restaurant several times in the past months and have always been plesantly surprised.... don't let the ambiance or location fool you. Try what's on the nightly specials for something really worthwhile. Great fish and chips and the cider is on tap! :)
- Pros: great food, reasonably priced
- Cons: , location

What a great place! For a finer meal, try the ostrich meat loaf. Lighter fare? Then go for the fish and chips. Wines? Many to choose from. And the beers? Great selection!
Jeff, Neal and Sven behind the bar, and Tobin in the kitchen. Great and friendly crew!
Have F-U-N!
