Excellent food / Terrible part of town
by Jeff 780 at Citysearch
I went to eat there with a friend of mine late at night one night, and I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was. I can't wait to eat there again. I just wish I didn't have to go to the ghetto to get there.
- Pros: Really good food / service
- Cons: Terrible side of town

Diners, Drive-in's and Dives from the Food Network was at Landmark shooting a segment for an upcoming show. This is a wondeerful thing for such a great establishment. My family and I have been going to Landmark for years and have always been pleased with the food and service. The family owned business is one of a kind here in Charlotte and these guys do a wonderful job! The prices are reasonable and tasty! The dessert case filed with all teh goodies is enough to send you to Heaven!!! Congrats guys for a job well done!!!
- Pros: Best food in town!!!
MY neighborhood restaurant....

My wife and I eat at Landmark on average 2-3 times a week. We are always there on Saturday night after church with some pals from our choir. I know most of the servers and staff by name and feel like family when I walk in the door. Great food, decent price... Everyone has a bad day, but I have never left Landmark unhappy....
- Pros: friendly service
- Cons: none known
HORRIBLE SERVICE !
by jayesalady at Citysearch
I visited the Landmark on 05/22/08 just as I have many times before. Our waiters English was a little broken and he seemed a little flustered and confused. He took our orders and it took forever to get our food, we did not get bread or crackers before our meal, however he took them to his other patrons. We waited and waited and waited still no food. Finally he remembered and got our meals, my sons fries were lukewarm and the salad I ordered did not come with the proper utensils, however one of this other patrons ordered the same salad and got their steak knife. I do not want to pull and play the race card but this situation did not give me any
other reasons why our treatment was so awful!
worst service ever!

My friends and I went to eat there a year ago. Our waitress was horrible! She didn't seem to care about service. She forgot little things we asked her to get for us (ex. a spoon). Our food wasn't that great either. My friend's steak was BURNT, and he DID NOT ask for it to be that way.
When we left, we didn't leave her 15%, so right before we left, she chased us down and threatened to remember our faces so she wouldn't serve us next time in front of everyone.
I haven't been there since. Don't plan to either.
- Cons: worst server ever!
My favorite place!
by KellyAP at Citysearch
I LOVE Landmark!! For breakfast, I adore the challah french toast, bacon on the side is not 2 or 3 slices, but 5-6! Their greek omelet is wonderful. If I don't get to go here for breakfast on the weekend, it ruins my week. We drive all the way in from Matthews for breakfast here, no one else can compare. The salads are HUGE, very fresh and flavorful. Their "chicken pie" (hmmm..citysearch would not let me use the three letter word that goes in between chicken and pie) has the flakiest and most beautiful crust. When my husband asked where I wanted to go for Valentine's Day, he was shocked when I picked Landmark, but they has wonderful V-day combos and now this is our V-Day restaurant as well. The desserts are magnificent...a huge dessert case to pick from. Key lime pie is very tart, a favorite. The servers are quick and courteous. If I lived nearby, I would not go out to eat anywhere else.
- Pros: food quality, taste, variety, selection
- Cons: none
great diversed place to eat and unwind
by leeway at Citysearch
great place to eat practically around the clock...closed from 1am-6am sun-thurs and 4am - 6am fri and sat...a wide variety of food and desserts available at anytime..breakfast at 4pm or lasagna at 8am, it doesn't matter ...I am a caterer, and a food and bev. manager at another location, but I eat here approx. 3 times a week...not much of a turnover in employees...nice and friendly....the cooks are on point, and you don't have to wait a long time for your food..I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they use to be open 24/7, now I have to make sure I get there before they close..I recommend this place all the time...they owe me a free meal now..ha! ha! ( alcoholic beverages too)
- Pros: wide variety of food at anytime and diversed patronage
- Cons: not open 24/7 anymore
Best Food in town
by bafomitsos at Citysearch
This is the best restaurant in town. I visited America from a small village in Greece and the food here changed my life and made me want to stay in this country. The cheesecake is amazing and the servers are so accomodating and friendly. I want to marry one. It's the best place to sample all kinds of cuisine for a reasonable price, the kind of place you can eat at 3-4 times a week and not get tired of it. I highly recommend the Landmark to anyone and everyone. Thank you America.
- Pros: service, food,
- Cons: not open 24 hours
I'd rather go to Outback
by kinom1 at Citysearch
My husband and I heard very good reviews about this place. We used to go to a very similar dinner "Liberty East" on Independence Blvd. which has a very good steak for $10. Landmark's is a little bit bigger, but it is $17. If I am going to pay $17 I'd rather go to a place like Outback.
- Pros: Desserts
- Cons: Value
Athens gets all the hype, but the Landmark does it better.
