Hidden Treasure!

I got engaged on August 2nd 2009 and like so many people out there, I don’t have a job.
So I started to look at different local bridal boutiques and asking for their gowns price range. I realized that most of the bridal gowns start at $ 500.00 some shops will tell you that they have gowns starting for less but you will get a very simple dress and I wanted to look like a bride!
I turned my attention to local bridal consignment boutiques and I found one at the yellow pages with only one review “Bride’s House of Originals”. I read the review and thought to my self, why not? So I went the following day which was on Monday August 10th 2009. When I first arrived I thought the boutique was kind of simple and outdated looking but I kept on telling my self, don’t judge a book by its cover! I was greeted by the lady who owns the shop, I told her what I wanted and she showed me the gowns she had my size. I found three gowns that had never been worn with the original tickets attached to them, with the original price. I was very surprised and impressed, the gowns look great and the second one I tried on I fell in love with!
I got a brand new Michelangelo gown original from David’s Bridal, it retailed for $599.99 and I got it for $320.00 dollars!!!!!! . I also got the flower girls dress for
$ 63.000!
So if there’s anyone out there ON A BUDGET? I advice you to give this little vintage funky looking boutique, you might find a great bridal gown deal like I did
Good Luck!
- Pros: Great gowns at very low prices
- Cons: Shop needs some TLC

I was impressed with the selection of sizes in the bridal gowns. I went in just looking to try some things on. I found a dress by one of my favorite designers (PC Mary's) in a perfect size. It's gorgeous, never worn. It was originally a $1,200 dress according to the Mary's web site. With tax and a $10 fee for using a credit card, it came out to $400! Amazing satin gown with intricate glass beading and a three foot train.
Keep an open mind and check back often, because you never know what you might find.
Owner is very nice and helpful when trying on gowns and obviously has decades of experience in wedding fashion. I think she prints invitations as well for very cheap.
- Pros: pretty good selection, experienced owner, good customer service, amazing value
- Cons: shop's atmosphere is lacking when compared to sparkling bridal boutiques
