Romantic Spot

by kroppink at Citysearch

We celebrated our anniversary here. It's great for a special occasion. However... the first couple rooms of tables are normal restaurant tables & booths. If it's a special event, be sure to make reservations & get a private table in the back room. There are walls surrounding your L-shaped booth, so that you essentially feel like you're on your own. However, you do definitely hear the noise of the other tables. We went at 6pm & all was quiet. Things got relatively noisy at 7pm.

  • Pros: romantic, fun, delicious
  • Cons: a little noisy, service was slow

The Melting Pot

by fstephie531 at Citysearch

This was the greatest experience for my husband and I. We always recommend The Melting Pot to other couples. We even went out and brought our own fondue set but nothing brings us closer than The Melting Pot!

  • Pros: Clean, Romantic, Private

Great Dinner Event

by william22 at Citysearch

My wife and I have dined at The Melting Pot several times a year for the last 10 years. We have always had a great evening of delicious food and outstanding service. Recently, we took a couple of friends there who were in town visiting. We had a blast! My friends are wine geeks and were very impressed with the Wine List. I recommend this restaurant to those seeking a different dining experience. You will be happy with the quality of food, drink, and service.

  • Pros: Atmosphere, Service, Food
  • Cons: Cannot, Afford to go, Every month

poor value

by ccollins8 at Citysearch

I recently took my wife and 6 year old son for dinner. After spending around $70, we got to cook our own food (around $15 worth at the grocery store). The quality of the meat was pretty good. The swiss cheese fondue was horrible. The salad was pretty good (how do you mess up salad?)

We did not get much to eat for the money. We spent the entire time cooking our dinner one bite at a time instead of enjoying eachother's company. We left smelling like the food. I do not recommend this one. Make no mistake, you are paying for the novelty of a fondue restaurant, not for a quality fine dinner. I suggest spending $40 on your own fondue pot. At least you get something out of the dinner!

  • Cons: smell, expensive

It was so much fun and so special.

The service was immaculate and the food was amazing. Fondue is such a great date idea and the melting pot impressed me so much that i had my birthday dinner party there!

  • Pros: insanely delicious, private, romantic, so much fun!
  • Cons: expensive, time consuming

By far the most romantic place to eat in Charlotte. A little pricey for what you get, but the atmosphere is worth the price.

  • Pros: mood light!, great meal, quiet

DELICIOUS

by martymason at Citysearch

The Melting Pot is truly one of those places that you have to try once in your life. The service is great. It is a little pricey, not somewhere you would go every week end. If you have a special night planned, this would surely be a place to consider. Guys this would be an excellent place to go on a second or third date. A little intimate for the first date.

  • Pros: Valet Parking, Great food
  • Cons: A little expensive
