It's great to have valet parking. The atmosphere is very inviting. Unlike most bars, the lcd displays were at a comfortable level as to not put a pain in your neck after watching the game for about 20 minutes. Served promptly. Staff is attractive and very attentive. Definitely a hang out spot. Oh YEAH! they play live jazz. and open til 11pm. being from NYC area, that's refreshing. this is one of the few restaturants that stay open past 10pm on weeknight. Another plus. Watch out for the buses if your ever behind one tying to get into this place.

  • Pros: ambience, location, staff
  • Cons: medium well may not be so medium well, but still taste great

We went to Sullivan's for our anniversary and had a great time. the steaks were great! The wedge salad is perfection! The atmosphere is great too! I like getting dressed up and going out to eat so it bugged me a little people were there in jeans.

No doubt this is the trendiest spot for a great steak...a younger generations steakhouse, all the class without the stuffy feel. Been here 10 times, never ever dissapointed.

  • Pros: everything
  • Cons: its not free

We had reservations for a Saturday night and it was fantastic. The service was absolutely awesome. Our server was very knowlegeable about the specials, personable, and was extrememly polite. We started off with some bread which was nice, but lacked much flavor. I had the Caesar salad and it was probably the best I've ever had. For my main dish I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and accurately. I also had a baked potatoe, no surprises just a decent potatoe. At our table we ordered mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes which were both fresh and delicious. For desert I had bananas foster bread pudding and it was super, but slightly too done. I enjoyed the atmosphere, I sat at the library which was a unique place to eat at. As the night went on it got nosier, but it wasn't awful. Overall I had a great time and a fantastic dinner.

  • Pros: Food, interior design, service
  • Cons: noise and menu selection

We had a reservation and even though they were busy when we arrived we were seated immediately. Our server was really top notch, knowledgeable about the menu and wine list ? and very pleasant and easy to talk to. The food served at the pace we wanted and we had an above average steak. We did have an issue with the special, it was a salmon and it was so over salted (and we like salt) that we ate less than ? and had to return it. We mentioned this to our server and the manager came over and offered us free coffee to make up for it ? we would have preferred a discount on the $30 salmon we couldn?t eat rather than a free coffee. We also tried the souffle for desert and it was average. A quick note about the cleanliness, it was be fair to say the mens room was lacking. If you go expect great service and stick to the steak.

Sullivan's is very classy and has a great atmosphere. If you are a steak eater, you'll be pleased, but even if you aren't, there are still several things on the menu that you will find very suitable. During the summer, they have a live band on Thursdays and a great happy hour menu from 5-7, where anything is two for $10. The appetizers are great and they have the best apple martinis in Charlotte.

My first visit to Sullivan's was great. Going back to celebrate Valentines Day. Fun and romantic atmosphere and great steaks and seafood. Love the Jazz too. One of the servers noticed the bottle of wine that we picked for dinner, he came over and told us about the winery that it actually came from, and after speaking to him we decided we?d take a tour someday. Our server was awesome, and the food and service was excellent.

We had a great time at Sullivan's. My wife had the best Sea Bass that she had ever tasted. My steak was absolutely the most flavorful steak that I had ever eaten. To top things off, we listened to the live jazz in the bar and tried the Knockout Martini. I wish that I could make this at home. I had an unbelievable experience that will definately keep me coming back.

  • Pros: Not pretentious
  • Cons: too much food

Food, atmosphere, and service have always been superb here. I would pick Sullivan's over Mortons, the Palm, etc., any day.

Sullivan's is my favorite steakhouse in Charlotte. I love Ruth's Chris, McIntosh's, Cap Grille, but Sullivan's is my favorite. Great menu and I love the service. I have never had a bad experience there... I recommend the filet oscar. Good for dates, work, or buddies.

Best in town! Perfect balance of romantic ambiance AND lively party atmosphere. Welcoming bar with great drinks, and a very comfortable dining room. Fresh flowers and boxing memorabilia fill the primary dining room, and the side room is a soft of library. Either way, as above, the balance is very nice. If you take the good half of Mortons, and the good half of The Palm, you end up with Sullivans!

Steaks are always great, very nice seafood menu, and the Lamb chops are my favorite. Don't forget desserts, as soufle' is a specialty of the house!

Great for a romantic night out, OR dinner with friends. Can't go wrong here

  • Pros: Great atmosphere AND food for any occasion, romantic or entertaining!
  • Cons: obviously pricey, can get a bit over-crowded at times
