All locations ae not the same.
I enjoy going to Outback for a good value on filet mignon's when I get the craving. The oddest thing I have experienced is just HOW different the consistency and quality of the meals are at different
locations. We used to live out near the Matthews one and never had a bad meal. Everything was always cooked just as ordered. Then we started going to the Pineville one. We have not had a steak come right out of their kitchen yet! Three tries! Even the manager on duty was embarrassed. I would suggest trying to go during off hours. The food seems to come out more accurately if the kitchen isn't rushed. Other than that I think Outback is a good value for the food. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
I do wish they would clean the tables and seats better after kids or messy adults are done eating. Seems out table has been sticky a few times. But to be fair, IF the filet mignon is cooked as ordered it's extremely tender and tasty.…
Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor..
In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood
booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.…
Always great service at the East Blvd. location!.
My husband and I have had nothing but great service every time we come to this location. We've been to the Pineville location, and the Rock Hill location but this one is the best. The last time we
came to this one was a couple of years ago (and had an amazing experience) but nothing has changed which is good! We called ahead, and got seated right away which is unusual for a Saturday night in such a busy part of the area. Our server was great -- didn't try too hard to impress us but did a great job with getting drinks (my Sydney's Cosmo was delicious!!), and being quick with his service. I ordered the Victoria Filet medium well; my husband always gets the Outback Special in medium. We did have to wait a little bit, but the wait wasn't more than 30 mins. And every time we ran out of bread - right away, we got more instead of waiting an eternity. We got our steaks but there was a TINY problem.... my filet was a little too pink/red in the middle, but our server was glad to take my steak back to fix it. And when I got it back, the manager herself brought it to me and it came back absolutely perfect, and she made sure I was happy with it. It wasn't the way I'd like it the first time, but they made it right....that's good customer service! Our steaks, especially mine were very flavorful, and juicy. The veggies and baked potato were delicious.
So, everything was great....and regardless of the tiny mishap with the doneness of the steak, it won't stop us from coming to the South End Outback location. Sure...it's not even close to Morton's, Ruth's Chris or Capital Grille, but for those of us that want a yummy steak but don't want to pay a whole lot, Outback is a good place to go.…
no rules!!. outback always talks about "no rules", nowhere is this celebrated more than at this location. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The idea is: if they can make it, they will. It doesnt matter if it is on the menu or not, it doesnt matter if you want to split it or not. In a world of microwaves, this homemade food is tops!…
CHOICE but not PRIME. I cannot believe Outback is even on the same list as McIntosh's, Sullivan's, The Palm or Morton's. Outback has a decent quality food, ambiance is loud and family oriented, and service is spotty (some very good and some not) depending on the server and night. It's AVERAGE but not GREAT...steaks are CHOICE not PRIME.…
The Outback Slack. Overall, I think Outback Steakhouse is a nice restaurant. The prices are affordable as well as the quality of the food is awesome! At times, the customer service could improve, but that may be with every public place. I would definitely recommend making reservations on the weekend. Overall, I give this restaurant an '8'…
Opposable thumbs down!. Outback is the most over rated dive in the entire United States! The steak consitently tastes like bad hamburger and is dry to match. Just like the Aussie Outback from the sounds of it.
Steak for the regular folks. Outback has always been a place to get good food for a decent price. I always get an Outback Special cooked medium. It has very little fat on a true center cut sirloin. Having this over a hundred times probably, I can only think of two times that I thought the steak was less than acceptable. In one case the manager made the entire meal (four of us) free. That speaks volumes. If you have unlimited funds, go to Morton's or something, I'll eat at Outback twice or thrice thank you.…
OVER RATED!! PLEASE!!. Without wasting too much of my time I think it necessary to give this list of resturants some integrity by putting a medicore franchaise in its place. The service is OK, the atmosphere is OK, and the food is OK. But lets not think for a minute that this establishment is anywhere near the Mortons or City Grill caliber.…
OK. A little above average and over rated. Good for a change. Food is consistant.
