I spent around 7.50 or 8.00 for a massively loaded chicken burrito and coke. The guy behind the counter (maybe it was Johnny himself?) was really nice and explained how to order and recommended certain items to put in my burrito. There were several different types of salsa and 10+ different types of mild to hot sauces available on the side or to be placed in the burrito. The guy behind the counter recommended a chipotle sauce that was really good, I think they make it themselves. Anyway, the burrito was huge and I can't believe they were able to wrap it. There is a faxable form on their website that will save you waiting in line so the food can be had rather quickly. As for the burrito itself, very good with fresh ingredients.I tried Phat Burrito the previous day and I'd have to say JB beats out Phat burrito in terms of quantity and quality of food, specifically JB was more flavorful and had fresher ingredients. The burrito I received still could have used a little more spice to it, next time I'll get the sauce inside the burrito and I think it would be a perfect blend out the door. I really felt welcome there, and around 1:30 or 2:00 I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Lastly, I typically think of burritos as being extremely messy and getting all over my tie and shirt but this burrito was so well wrapped that I didn't have to worry about it. Good experience overall.
Pros: Good Service, Fast, Quality and Quantity of food

First of all, I agree that you get a ton of food, and that it is good. However, I've eaten at JB and also at Salsarita's downtown, and while the flavor at JB is good, it doesn't always taste quite as fresh. And I do agree that the owner can be pretty rude if you don't play exactly by his rules. When you do, he is very friendly. When you don't, he comes close to turning into the "soup-nazi" from Seinfeld (if you don't watch Seinfeld, don't worry...it's not really as bad as it sounds). Overall, I say the service is mediocre, the food is good but not great, but you will be full in the end!
Pros: Plenty of food!
Cons: Service, but only if you don't play by his rules (which you learn the hard way)

I have never had the owner of an establishment act so rudely towards someone who wants to use debit cards to pay for their lunch. Hey, Johnny Burrito, if you don't want customers to use debit/credit, why don't you switch to cash only? I've been going to his place religiously ever since they first opened. No more.
Pros: rude owner
Cons: rude owner

Hands down the best burrito in Charlotte made before your eyes in under a minute. Don't be put off by the long line running out the door you will be served in a matter of minutes, by one of Johnny's Burrito artists. These burritos are sooo big (football size) I don't see how they get them rolled up. Don't miss the Tamales on Friday either. I've never seen the health rating under 100 !!!!
Pros: Fast, Clean, Tasty
Cons: Location, Seating

I was working in Charlotte for a few months and would visit this place for lunch at least once a week. The fact that you customize the burritoes separates this place from all other burrito places I have eaten at. Too bad Johnny won't come to New York.
Pros: Good food, Fast Service, Inexpensive
Cons: Limited seating

I love this place. fast, very friendly service. The folks behind the counter seem to be having a *great* time. Plus the burrito was one of the best I've ever had.
Pros: cheap, tasty
Cons: hard to find

World class burritos!! Although this is technically a burrito stand in upscale surroundings, the service is quick, efficient, and friendly. I drove my wife and 4 kids 45 miles to see if the reviews were all just hype: the burritos are unmatched in the Carolinas (and even by "authentic" Mexican restaurants). I wish that JB would open branches in other communities in the area. The food was fresh and exceeded my expectations.
Pros: quick, customized stuffings
Cons: not much place to sit
