So SO by Sarah S. at InsiderPages

My husbands work had their Christmas party at Ri-Ra's and it was alright. The food was very bland though. I thought for the price of the food it would have more flavor and not be so dry.
Good Authentic Feeling, Great Drinks, Pretty Good Food
by sh21 at Citysearch
Good Neighborhood pub feel to it. Nice staff, good food and great beer selection. Definitely a place to go if you just want to relax for an evening. Downstairs can be a little crowded in the evening as most of the dinner crowd is here and the bar doesnt seat many people. If you want a more intimate approach then head upstairs where it is more dark and only a few dinner tables. Also summer time they open the upstairs patio overlooking the Hearst Tower Courtyard.
- Pros: Relaxing, Neighborhood Feel
- Cons: Nothing stands out
Great atmosphere, Great bartenders, Awful Live Music
by jowilliams at Citysearch
I have heard so much about Ri Ra's from friends at work that I just had to try it for myself. I did like the atmosphere, the people were charming and the food was delicious, I ordered the Pub Chop and I was pleased with how juicy and flavorful it was. Unfortunately, I unknowingly picked a night where there was a horrid guitar player playing wanna be cover songs, with seemingly himself on computer back up? It absolutely ruined my time. I will return I will just find out when that lad with the half beard and baseball cap will not be on stage.
- Pros: food, drink, atmosphere
- Cons: horrid, cover music

Standard Irish pub

I thought Ri Ra was great, had the normal Irish bar ambiance and was generally busy but not too packed. Good beer selection and they had live music.
Fabulous Menu
by dee40dee at Citysearch
My boyfriend and I went here for lunch today and were seated in a nice out of the way nonsmoking section upstairs. The menu selection is great with authentic irish dishes served with elegence. We definitely plan to go back to enjoy a heartier meal than the light lunch we shared. If you go, be adventerous and try something different.
- Pros: ambience, food, setting
- Cons: parking
A Real Pub!!
by sittard at Citysearch
My first visit to Ri-Ra was not a disappointment. Excellent beer selection, great atmosphere led to an enjoyable evening after a long workday. For a Tuesday night, Ri-Ra was very lively .... right to the midnight closing time! My next business trip to Charlotte will definitely include a visit to Ri-Ra.

You'll think you've stepped across the Atlantic, right into the heart of Ireland.

In Short
Two stories high and half a block deep, every square inch is crammed with knickknacks or painted with images and sayings reminiscent of Ireland. Even some of the staff are Irish, sporting thick brogues and warm smiles. Novelty aside, it is a beautiful pub (the interior was built in Ireland, then reassembled in Charlotte) with Old-World charm. Once packed nighly with crowds, now business has slowed to a more laid-back pace.
ReRa rocks!
by Emily27 at Citysearch
I love ReRa! The atmosphere totally makes up for the " small pub feel". It's a perfect place to meet friends for an after work drink and mabye see a great band play. It's an awesome little irish pub. I hope ReRa is here to stay!
- Pros: friendly bartenders, cozy atmosphere, great place for music
- Cons: limited seating, parking can be a prob
