Worth the ride...

I live in Southwest Mecklenburg County. Mickey and Mooch used to be my favorite restaurant, but no longer. What happened? They opened Mickey and Mooch, The Other Joint. It's much closer. But if you want to take a nice evening ride to Huntersville, ask for the reserve wine list. You will be very plesantly suprised at the great values.

Better food and better service than Morton's of Chicago for less than half the price.

• Cons: LOUD!

Avoid The GM

Beware of the General Manager. Very short tempered and zero personality. I reserved for a party of 10, and this guy basically thumbed his nose and rolled his eyes at us when we asked for a dessert menu...(which he never brought )on a Monday night... It made us feel very uncomfortable. Next time Ill spend my measely $400 elsewhere.

Hrm...

The food was good, but not great. And considering how much it costs, it makes you somewhat flustered. The atmosphere while cool, and has great music, is very loud. Valet parking while nice, is hardly needed. The service I had was subpar. The live pianist who plays for tips was a nice touch.

Best steak in Charlotte for the money. Great atmosphere. Great service and great management.
