What's all the hype about?

Ate here for the first time and I have no clue what people see in this place. Sure, they give you huge portions, but like they say you get what you pay for. I saw a review that said this place was better than The Palm, someone must have had way too much budweiser because that's like comparing a Ferrari to a Chevy. I can only think that this was the only game in town for so long that being starting believing it was great. Not for anyone who's ever dined at REAL restaurants. Almost like chain restaurant food.

It was GREAT

Don't know why we waited so long to go to Mickey & Mooch! The food was every bit as good as The Palm, yet a fraction of the costs! The food was GREAT! The ambience fantastic! Lots of windows for a GREAT view! Service impeccable. What more to ask for?

Unbelievable

This may have been the best steak I have ever experienced (and I have eaten at many of the best steakhouses in the country). Not one bite of their many sidedishes was less than spectacular. Their creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and grits cannot be described by mere words. I dream of going back to this restaurant again!!!! The price was reasonable considering the quality of food and service. The only negative is the size of the restaurant; the staff said they are always crowded due to the popularity.

Great Steaks

All the steaks are cooked "Pittsburgh Style", high heat on outside, but still pink in the center. Try them; they are great!

Have eaten in this resteraunt for years. The only bad meal I've had their was at the Sam Furr location. It may not be the finest resteraunt in Charlotte, but it is mighty good for the money. They are also generous with the portions on wine and drinks.

Great Food, Busy Atmosphere

I've never had a bad meal here, and I've been five times. The crabcakes are some of the best in town and the steak is always moist and juicy. If you're health concious the salmon is always a good bet, but make sure it is cooked through. On the side, highlights include Charleston Grits (grits with a touch of cream, better than the potatos) and a house salad with homemade Honey Mustard or Blue cheese Dressing. For dessert, dine with a partner due to the epic portions. The carrot cake is a bit dry, but the pumpkin cheesecake I had was quite good. The scene is a bit loud, and be sure to confirm your reservation because my name has been misinterpreated several times. The earlier you go, the better.

I Loved the food the service, i loved it all around. Great place to have a fun night. I have also checked out Mickey & Mooch The Other Joint.

Great place too Dancing live music Open Kitchen View, i loved every min of it. Hey if you have not been there go check it out, cause i will be back there again.

I wish I had gone to Wendy's

I was very disappointed in the food & management at Mickey & Mooch. I first ordered fish, Mahi and it was very fishey and cooked to long and very bland. They were dry and bland. I then sent the Mahi Mahi back and ordered a broiled chicken breast. The chicken was very very dry and bland. Needless to say, I was not impressed with the food. The manager came over after I had sent the first order back and ask me where was my food. He then went to the kitchen, I guess to find out where my food was. He came back about 10 minutes later with my chicken and left. Never to be seen again. The atmosphere was nice, a little to loud, the waitress was good, but the food was terrible. I will never go back to Mickey & Mooch's. The experience was very unpleasant.

Over rated

Came from Chicago and Kansas City adnd I know a good steak.. They must have had a bad night. Filet was tough and grissly. Nothing accompanied the meat, just a steak on a plate--no juice, no garnish nothing. Worse was that it was a mdeium steak that was dry. Guess we weren't regulars and got stuck with a bad piece of meat.

think the place is overrated.
