Great sushi and vegetarian options!
by rickytesh
The sushi here is great! They even have a build your own 'cheat sheet' for beginners :) The vegetarian options are also plentiful and if your'e tired of tofu, they have soya, which has much more texture. I ordered the creat your own style meal and loved the vegetable bar. Basically you pick a noodle or rice, a sauce, a protein and then you head to a vegetable bar and load up a bowl with your favorites.
The atmosphere is really relaxed for lunch and gets a little fancier for dinner. Outside dining is available and is perfect for the summer evenings.
It is definitely my favorite place to dine when I'm in Huntersville.
- Pros: Vegetarian options, quality ingredients
- Cons: Price can quickly add up
Good sushi in North Charlotte
by Wingchild
Eez has a very hip feel to it that's only accentuated by a crowd that shows up to preen for each other rather than to eat sushi. Don't let this deter you from visiting - the food quality is worth making the trip. Eez is located off I77N and is quite convenient for the North Charlotte crowd.
Sashimi here is tasty, though fish varieties are a bit limited. Lots of rolls to choose from including a bunch of non-traditional preperations (such as rolls involving filet mignon). Try a few things you don't recognize; most of the menu is delicious.
The bar is unfortunately not up to snuff; I don't know what's up with the drinks they mix but I haven't been able to find one I like. (Not for lack of trying, either.) While I don't expect purity in ethnic cuisine from a place that classifies itself as "fusion", I do draw the line when Sangria turns out purple and tastes like Kool-Aid.
Go for the food and the people watching. Weekday evenings are excellent times to visit. Weekends may be more of a challenge. Eez doesn't do reservations that I know of, but you can leave your name and cell phone number with the hostess, then wander Birkdale Commons - they'll call when a table is ready.
- Pros: Good roll selection with non-typical preprations
- Cons: Crowded on weekends, not traditional
Trendy and fun
by NEFRTT
Overall a fun place. I lived in Chicago and Seattle before moving here and miss the buzz and this place has it. Not the best sushi but definitely passable and rolls are pretty good. I go more for the mood. But dress to impress on weekends!
- Pros: Always a buzz
- Cons: frequently have to for table wait and slightly over priced
Great sushi, cuisine, service and non-smoking
by trirob
This restaurant has consistently served good food at a good price. The owner is hands on and operates a tight ship. The recent addition of a quality sushi bar has just made an already good restaurant better. The suchi is excellent and at the time of this writing much of it was being flown in overnight from Hawaii. Great place to have a quick bite before a movie or have an extended meal experience with good friends.
- Pros: Ambiance, parking service, non smoking
- Cons: Can get busy
BEST SUSHI IN NC BY FAR!!!
by turtles07
If you want to have good quality sushi in NC this is the place to go..... The sushi here is a little bit more pricer than Sushi 101 and Nakato, but its way worth the money.
Otherwise, everything else on the menu is just average. This place is more of an "american style" version of thai, vietnamese and chinese food.... The entree are a little bit OVERPRICE; and isn't all that great...
This is a place that is really busy in the evening time and waiting time is usually about 20-40 minutes.
- Pros: GOOD, QUALITY SUSHI
- Cons: overprice, long wait time to get seated, entrees are just average
not impressed

I use to go 2 years ago in this sushi bar when they still make the sushi inside and it was the best sushi I ever had specially the bake roll from the chef "WOWWWW" I recently visited this place and they change the name and the sushi. it;s not the same anymore before it's worth waiting for now it's even worst. well have to move on to the best sushi somewhere.
BEST SUSHI in town...
by 007bella
The sushi is always fresh and flavorful. The chefs do a superb job of presenting their rolls. The sushi menu is very extensive and innovative. Be sure to sit at the sushi bar and try the Tropical Storm or ask the chefs to be creative to meet your taste buds. The customer service is excellent with a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. However, I wouldn't recommend the entrees from the kitchen; the food is not your typical Asian cuisine, you're better off dining at P.F Chang's...
Great sushi and customer service. Avoid the Thai dishes.
by jaegeral
The sushi at this restaurant is really nice. Generous portions and a great selection. The wait staff is always great about recommending dishes on the menu. The starters are also a delicious way to start a meal there. The Thai food is a bit inconsistent and depending on who is cooking the spice and salt levels vary wildly. I don't believe the restaurant is a chain but the atmosphere has the feel of an upscale chain restaurant.
Fresh, Flavorful and Fabulous!

OUTSTANDING! Of all sushi restaurants in and around the CLT area (let alone restaurants in general) Eez Fusion should rank on the top of anyone's list. Never have I had better sushi...as fresh, as flavorful or as filling. Looking for an amazing spicy tuna roll? The Volcanic roll is sure to satisfy. Dining for 2-3 and looking for a complimentary variety? Order the edamame for your app, then the Volcanic, Doug's Fillet and Cucumber Fantasy...WOW! Atmosphere is not only accomodating for families, but also for Cosmo-Young Professionals. Planning to go on a Friday or Saturday night...check in with the hostess and Eez will call your cell phone when your table is ready, allowing any wait you experience to be accomodated by the offering of shops in Birkdale.
