My first experience at Cabo was a good one. I had the Mahi Taco's and they were delicious (and only around $8.95...can't really reamember). Plus they had like 3 or 4 beers on special for $2 so you can't really beat that.
Seems like a great to go on a date for a low key night when you don't want to dress up all fancy-like (I'm now sounding like a hilbilly).
Don't expect the servers to bend over backward for you as thats the whole attitude of NODA.
I will give 4 stars and leave out 1 just because i thought the chips and salsa had no flavor.
- Pros: Great Fish Taco - Price is good
- Cons: Usually pretty slammed, not too big
Okay atmosphere but terrible food, management.

This place used to be decent but has gone down the tubes. I'd eaten here several times over the past few years. My boyfriend and I ate here twice in the past two months and were served inedible food. The first time his tuna was past its prime. This place is called cabo FISH taco. Seriously? Thought it might have been a fluke and went back, only to be served a chicken wrap with a unique odor and taste. Sent it back, only to be told they would take 1/2 the price off the bill. Classy joint. Save your money for better Mexican, hard to find in Charlotte, I'd recommend Las Margaritas on Independence.
Yummy! Great!

I go here often. The food is delicious - absolutely delicious. Their margaritas are great too, and the prices are VERY fair. The atmosphere is great, laidback, and relaxing. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!
- Pros: Great food, great service, great atmosphere, fair prices
- Cons: Nothing
Service is Sinking

As a NoDa neighbor - Cabo "had" been a favorite of mine for while.. The food is awesome and fresh - not your "typical" buritto joint. But as others mention below - recently the staff attitude is negative, nasty, and rude. I took a group to dinner last week and Cat (the big guy with tattoos) who has waited on us before was dreadful. We felt rushed, no napkins, no water refill, never checking back on us. I asked for a just a standard margarita with Patron. When it arrived it had a good amount of OJ... I asked Cat for a re-make. He grabbed it off the table - spilling it on me.... only to re-make it himself this time "swimming" in Orange Juice. He insisted that ALL of their drinks have OJ.. perhaps you can make one without?? This guy is a tool. ALSO. any chance someone can clean the ceiling fans above.. a huge hunk of dust & dirt flew down on top of our dinner. Rob & Meeghan have great restaurant - just hope your staff improves soon.. We're done with Cabo for now.
- Pros: Casual, Great Food, Value
- Cons: Service, Sticky Tables, Dirty Ceiling Fans
decor/atmosphere is the best part

Don't be fooled into thinking this trendy-looking spot is good for dinner. Aside from the quality atmosphere and ok margaritas, this place was a disaster for dinner on a friday night. The rude wait staff insisted my table order everything (drinks, apps, and meals) in the first three minutes of being seated and then proceeded to bring out the food and checks in less than twenty-five minutes from being seated. Talk about giving some bold hints! The food lacked taste (as did the disappointing corn and tomato salsa) and the queso dip tasted like a mouthful of bacon. Don't waste your time going here. There are too many other great spots in Charlotte that have great atmosphere, great food, and great service.
- Pros: margs, cool interior of restaurant
- Cons: service, food
Charlotte, we need to have a talk.

Does anyone ever say anything bad about this place? Yeah, its different but so what? They get way too crowded and waiting for a table takes forever. Half of the staff are really super nice and the other half are stuckup yuppie wanna bes with tattoos. I'm not impressed. The food was overpriced for burritos. The margaritas weren't overpriced and honestly not that bad. I was impressed with their draft beer selection.
- Pros: food tasted good, good ingredients, margaritas, social scene
- Cons: crowds! and shortage of seating
Great find!

Something different and definitely worth checking out! Unique menu and the fish tacos are excellent. They also make a mean margarita!! Go on a date or with a group of friends. Just go early b/c it gets crowded.
- Pros: Something different... great menu & atmosphere
- Cons: can get crowded

The ambiance, service, food, everything. The shells are so crispy and delicious. I find myself craving to drive across town to be there. You feel like you are on a vacation at the beach. NODA is just so eclectic, just a great part of Charlotte.
- Pros: Art for sale on walls, delicious food
- Cons: Cant come up with any?!
Great place for visitors!

I recently had two of my best friends in town to visit and we went to Cabo for dinner. The food was great, the service was fast & friendly, did I mention the food was great? Their specials are always wonderful. I would definitely recommend this any time.
- Pros: Great service, friendly people & wonderful food.
- Cons: Can be noisy at time.
Unique fare with a Southwestern flair.

The Scene
Located in Charlotte's burgeoning NODA arts district, this seafood grill draws a diverse crowd of locals, from suburbanites and families to hipsters, couples, and business people. A relaxed atmosphere, consistently good food and efficient service keep them all coming back for more.
The Food
Described on the menu as "inspired Southwest cuisine with a coastal twist," Cabo's dishes are prepared from the freshest of ingredients and are original derivatives of Southern California and coastal Baja Mexico fare. Standout starters include a chilled, succulent fresh shrimp served in a martini glass and tasty, colorful veggie rolls served hot over nopalitos (baby cactus) with a roasted red pepper aioli. The signature dish, the Cabo fish taco, is a surprisingly successful and flavorful combination of beer-battered cod, veggies, cheese and a cilantro-yogurt sauce. Skip the unimpressive desserts and wash things down with the original Caborita or any of the many specialty margaritas.
