i've never had a bad dish from here!
by SpaQueen77
i have recently started going to Tavern for lunch. i love all the dishes they offer. i've seriously never had anything bad from here. i'm not a huge fan on the interior... very dark and dingy. i recommend getting the food to go, but you will enjoy every bite of it!
- Pros: delish food
- Cons: dark interior
Good food
by yukster11
Food is good here, reasonably priced and the staff is friendly. There are tv's located throughout the restaurant but it's hard to see more than 3 from wherever you're sitting without really straining your neck. Not a place that I'd want to stay the entire night, but a good place to have dinner and begin the evening. If you like Buffalo sports, then this is place for you.
VERY AUTHENTIC FISH FRY JUST LIKE IN BUFFALO!
by JLINDA
We have found 9 out of 10 times we've had their famous fish fry it's been GREAT! A perfect crispness outside and very nice & meaty inside--and not fishy tasting. They give you a huge piece if not two pieces, plus two sides and the sides are not skimpy! You can even get a salad as a side and they don't do the iceburg lettuce there--it's the good mixed greens. The tartar sauce is delicious, too---the perfect taste accompaniment to this fish. Everything is homemade last I heard and it tastes like it.
Their beef on weck rivals some of the great ones in Buffalo--honestly! We've been amazed. The wings--another item rivaling some of the best in Buffalo!---you can get them extra crisp if you want and they are perfectly done and delicious! The bleu cheese is great as a dip or for a salad dressing--homemade, too. Also, there is hardly anything having MSG in it-- THIS IS GREAT!!
They had a lobster ravioli that is really great, too. Eating outside under the heaters was always nice if you wanted to get away from inside--sometimes a bit smokey or noisy depending on the sport season.
We've brought many northerners here and they were very impressed, too!
We'll be back!
Nothing Special

mediocre service and food. I've tried this place many times and each time it gets worse. If you sit at the bar expect to wait awhile for the bartender whose sitting down eating during lunch time to get your check to you
it was 5 stars at one point!!!

I have been coming to Tavern for about 4 years, and attend about every Sunday for the Bills games, however, since I starterd bringing my family up there for the games, it's been increasingly difficult to get a table....even if we get there before noon. We cannot sit at the bar, and have asked to be put on the list for a table, but even then, once a table clears, people not on the list just walk up and sit down, leaving myself and my family to fend for ourselves. But people can reserve tables.....why cant we??? If things dont chance we will be forced to find somewere else to watch the games!
Great Service
by resturant
I was in Tavern on the Tracks in Sept. and I usually come in when on buisness and love the place. But it has changed!!! No warm welcoming. The service is usually great, But it was horrible. I remember being waited on by a girl with blond hair and I believe her name was sara. She was not there when I came in, but she is amazing, anything I needed she was right there with a smile and was the best waitress, I have ever seen. I am very disappointed with the service and the food was okay, it is usually so much better. I believe things need to change before I ever go back in there. You really need some quailfied people working in your restaurant.
- Pros: used to have great service
- Cons: service is horrible
