Always a great experience. Good prices, good service, the wait is never too long. It's home-cooking at its best.

In a city with almost no good Sunday breakfast choices, Eddie's is a standout! My family enjoys breakfast every Sunday at Eddie's. We've been going for nearly 10 years now and hope to keep the streak up for as long as we can.

This is just the greatest little restaurant that serves everything! My kids get breakfast every time we visit, no matter the time of day. The she-crab soup is the best I've had anywhere. And I tried it all over Boston just to compare. No comparison! I love the shrimp and grits here too. Their salads are about the freshest I've had anywhere, with a big variety. Shrimp salad is very tasty and ample. The booths have been reupholstered, and with the new smoking time frame, is one of our favorite, regular restaurants to visit w/ kids. Hey, did I mention how good the she-crab soup is????
Pros: Great variety of food; very kid-friendly
Cons: Milk only comes in skim or whole - but they will mix it for you if you like. Wish there was a bigger wait area.

I went to this restaurant with my husband to have breakfast since it won the best breakfast 2007. I was very disappointed because, portions are too small. The steak for instance looks like it belongs in a kids meal. The eggs and the pancakes were good but nothing really to crave about. The service wasn't bad, but you can easily tell that if you are not a white soccer mom like the ones the place is full of, they won't treat you as good. I've definitely been into better restaurants and I've had better breakfasts.

Eddie's was recommended to me by a friend. We went there around 11 am on a Saturday morning - big mistake...Everyone had already gotten the brunch memo. This local place is packed with customers during the weekends. Their coffee is amazing and so is their food. The waiters are friendly and they serve the best egg and chorizzo breakfast wrap (if you're so lucky to find it on the menu). Every friend of mine is guaranteed a weekend brunch at Eddie's when they come to visit. Great Place, GREAT food.
Cons: small facility - somtimes there is a long wait

New to Charlotte, looking for a great breakfast place... (I'm not sure, some "Best of" lists, show Hardee's as #1)... so... wanted to try Eddie's Place... This was a nice neighborhood restaurant with local flavor. Sat up at the bar for Sunday brunch as there was a wait outdoors for inside tables... the staff was very friendly, and the food was great. Happy that it is non-smoking as well! Will definitely return.

The place is really lay'd back, a casual atmosphere. It does remind me of New Orleans - not the Bourbon Street tourist type NOLA, but the Uptown, lay'd back parts of New Orleans. Come hungry - portions are generous. A plate of fried oysters is plenty to fill you up, without any appetizer, and enough to take home for the next day. We like the one on Sharon Amity; there's another one in Ballentyne, but it's less homey, less welcoming. Very reasonably priced, too.
Pros: Large portions, good atmosphere

This place has a great breakfast-"creative" homestyle food. Portions are substantial, well prepared and promptly served. Staff is attentive. We did not care for the smoking however it is to be non smoking in 2007 and then we'll be sure to return to Eddies.
Pros: Food-portions and quality.
Cons: Smoking.

We went on a crowded Saturday morning & were seated fairly quickly. The food was great & the cheese grits were wonderful! A good energy & great food.

Good Eats! Breakfast had everything from pancakes to a crabmeat omlette. The service is quick and you're in and out in 30 minutes. Highly Recommended!
Pros: Good Eats, friendly staff, imoderately priced
Cons: average atmosphere
