Absolutely the best value in town!

We have been to other discount theaters in the past and this one is the best. They provide family entertainment with the family budget in mind and they don't do it at the expense of cleanliness and a "bargain basement" appearance. The lobby, location and lights are as good as anywhere else, especially when you consider the price. You can actually enjoy the full experience of going to the movies here because you can afford to buy the movie popcorn, drinks and even candy when you don't have to mortgage your house for $9.50 tickets like everywhere else! You HAVE to give it a try...take the whole family and get back to being together for a night out of clean fun!

Cinemark Movies 10-Matthews

When I suggest to my sweetie "Let's go to the movies!"( ...and I don't mean a "Block-Buster" night either)usually he doesn't have to ask where to! For our bohemian living expenses: 'caviar& champagne taste--beer & burger' budget , the "Movies 10 In Matthews" is our best bet!

Considering it's commonly referred to by locals as "The Dollar Theater", it operates as a first class movie house..just less expensive!

It's set far enough from the ever busy highway to not be considered a road hazard ..BUT the brightly lit,colorful facade of the theater can be easily seen by on the road travelers . There is a spacious arcade that caters to all, from families with small children as well as couples who want to duke it out on the video games or table hockey ! I especially appreciate the addition of 'old school' favorites like "Ms. Pac-Man" and "Galaga" for those who remember a time before PlayStations and XBoxes!

As for the concession area there are at least two( If I remember correctly) snack areas: a main one and a satellite stand near the movie hall entrances, perfect for that last minute decision to go with the hot buttered popcorn,soda and candy combo! I could go on about all the various weekly specials, but next time you're in the Charlotte-Matthews area..don't just take my word for it...... check it our for yourself..you won't be sorry!!!!!

• Pros: Inexpensive tickets and Top movie selsctions only a few months older than standard box office fare!
• Cons: Noisy, loitering teens but even that is improving! Go ushers! YAY!

great and fun, but old movies

Me, my sisters, and my little brother went to the movies 10 a little while ago to see Ratatuile and they played this movie about a month after it came out. Sometimes me and some friends wanna do something and we choose movies 10 because for a kid sometimes we need to stay on a budget (PARENTS!) and moves 10 is great for that but we end up not going beecause the movies are so old and half i probably seen before. But I love the food there its real satisfying but a little expensive though and you feel like you ate nothing when your done, but the workers are really nice there and dont ever get fustrated when i take too long to choose what I want so I think for that movies 10 is ok.

• Pros: the people who work there,the taste of the food, and budget wise
• Cons: its a little dirty, plays old movies, and has expensive food

Great theater

Awesome budget movie theater for the family. If you are on a budget and want to take the family , this is the place to go. Lots of great movies and cheap prices.

GREAT THEATER AT A PRICE FOR A FAMILY

THis Theater is one of the best in Charlotte!! We take the Grandkids and also go for ourselves. The price makes going to the movies GREAT. Remeber the movies are rerun of first run movies....so if you missed one you can catch it for the first time or again.
