This is one of my favorite movie theaters in Charlotte. The comfortable seats and stadium seating make the movie experience that much more enjoyable. The only problem I have with this theater is on weekends (the only time I have free to go) it sometimes does get gh3tto. It got so bad one night in the theater I had to get a police officer in the building to remove this group of inconsiderate people in the back. Bad enough no one spoke English, but they were so loud everyone in the theater was yelling at them to shut up.
Pros: Comfortable seats. Nice stadium seating.
Cons: Can attract the undesired crowd sometimes

After visiting several movie theaters in CLT, we've concluded that the AMC is our favorite. We rarely go at night so I cannot comment on the g-to central comment but during the weekend day, it's a very enjoyable experience. We use the self service kiosks and bypass the line. We head straight to the concession stand where at times, there is a long line. If there was one negative thing about this theater, it's the lack of management at the concession stand. There are several employees milling around but only one line is open for matinees / early afternoon showings. I will say that the popcorn is always fresh and the fact that it's a Coca Cola theater is a plus. What makes up for this slight inconvenience are the amazing seats. I've sat in stadium seats before but these are the best. If you have a bad back, you'll love these seats. Sitting through a long Scorsese film or a Harry Potter movie, you'll thank yourself for choosing this theater. One last note, the sound system is very crisp and the movie screens are always impeccably clean and without blemishes and the house lights are perfect for those with sensitive eyes.

Great theater, but you don't want to go on a weekend-night-it is ghetto central. If someone isn't kicking your chair or talking loudly it is rare. Quiet is not well enforced here.
Pros: good pics, big theatre
Cons: , pricey
