Excellent Food, Service, and Price. My wife and I bought a $30 groupon coupon for this restaurant, so we thought we would give it a try on Saturday evening. Found the place (a little hard if you are not familiar with the area, since the name of the restaurant is in the front of the build , off of North Cove Road, not facing the road, and no sign for it on N. Cove..), and went in. Nice atmosphere, and proper spacing of tables so you do not feel Ike you are eating on top of each other. Had a good water (Shaun), and he was quite knowledgeable on the menu and what was in each item on the menu and how it was built. Ordered the Peninsula Nachos to start. Was quite different from traditional nachos. Homemade Kettle potato chips, topped with nice beef tip portions, and three different types of cheeses. Quite tasty. I ordered the rack of baby backed ribs with homemade coleslaw, and shoestring fries. Sorry Alton, I am not a fan of coleslaw, but my wife enjoyed it, and said it was good. She order a large pork chop, that had been in brine, and was cooked nicely. She ate as much as she could, and brought the remainder home. Finally, a homemade Oreo cookie ice cream sandwich (crushed Oreo cookies that are molded with ice cream and whipped cream, and topped with chocolate sauce and more whipped cream. Yummy)....Add a couple of glasses of wine, and a couple of Labbat's Blue and a cup of coffee later, and the bill was $80 total before Groupon. Can't beat that. All in all, a nice evening. While I walked away, my wife had a chance to meet Alton. Seemed very nice. Good service, good food, good time. Ned to see it. Many other nice entrees. Will be back.....

BEST EXPIRIENCE EVER!!!!!!. My boyfriend and I, along with a few friends went to Alton's and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The cocktails are phenomenal, as is the food. I particularly enjoyed the Prime rib, but after trying the ribs and the fillet, I have concluded that everything is delicious. We went on a Sunday and it was HALF PRICE WINE BOTTLES!! I have been back many times, and will continue to do so. If you want great food, great drinks, great service, and a great time go to Alton's.

Best food and service I've ever had!!!!. My husband and I have been to Alton's countless times. We always have the best experience and the best food! Not only is it a beautiful atmosphere but you are treated like royalty and are care for by all staff. We have tried many different items on the menu and have been beyond pleased. They also have what they call the peninsula special..a three course menu for 14 dollars available between 4:30-6:30 everyday.

Very Bad Experience - Ruined Night Out. Tried Alton's for the first time the other night as we had purchased a $50 gift certificate from "groupon" for the restaurant. My question to management - why participate in a promotional website if you don't want customers to come back? Isn't that the point. Instead you are SOOOO RUDE to hound us not once but twice that we cannot use our gift certificate and get the prime rib special since it was not actually on the "menu" but only for that evening. Really?? So we order two entrees off the menu that total over $50 and then one prime rib special. It seems that should be okay - but NOT with your managers. NO - instead they come over and tell us we can't have the prime rib or we will need to pay more than the special price for the evening. So I have to get to a point to tell you to put my daughter's meal on a separate bill since this seems to be such a problem for your restaurant that she wants to have prime rib. Geez - you all are crazy. Ruined our entire meal and we will NEVER return to your crummy restaurant. FIGURE IT OUT - that is why no one is there on a Saturday night.
