Rushed atmosphere. The deep fried onion appy is a ball of oil and grease. The unlimited onions you get for your steak for 1.99 are not Vidalia and are nearly raw and placed over your steak. I have never met anyone who likes to eat raw onions. Caramelize them! The actual steak was fair at best. I had the Chicken Portebello and the mushrooms where small and simply put bad tasting. In all my years on this planet I have never met a Portabello mushroom I didn't like till now. My daughters carrots where cold and uncooked. Everyone likes a little bite to there vegetables but these where just not done right. Her chicken fried chicken was greasy. Cooked at the wrong temperature or let to sit in the fryer too long. Things enjoyed during this meal was the lovely young lady that served us. She was great and very attentive. The Sam Adams Seasonal was great and my daughter liked her sweet tea. We spent 90.00 for dinner and our bar tab and I went home with a belly ache that lasted till the next day. Simply put. STAY AWAY from the Mathews location. This is our third time at this location over the past three years with only one good experience. Just not worth it. On our never to go again lists!!!!

great food. great food. food came really quick, almost too quick lol...

staff is really friendly and the food is good, but i have to say i almost didnt like how fast everything got to my table, from those DELICIOUS rolls to my appetizer...to my salad...and my dinner. maybe next time i wont order an appetizer, but i would definetly recommend and go back

Love This Place. We love Texas Roadhouse and are glad that they moved to Matthews. The atmosphere and food are always great. I highly reccomend Texas over Outback.

AWESOME food! Usually crazy long wait though. The staff here is upbeat and efficent, Matthews really needed a new steakhouse! Their atmosphere far surpasses Outbacks dark suttle atmosphere and Hops scarcely decorated also dimly lit atmosphere. The food is great! Once you get seated the service is fast! Everyone is going here right now so thats why the wait is so long. This is my new favorite restraunt!
