My favorite South Charlotte Restaurant

I go to Miro a couple of times each month for dinner, and more often for their wonderful tapas dish with wine. Spend some time at the bar getting to know Dres & Franko - they are laid back but fun to talk to, and have great recommendations for wine selections. My boyfriend is Spanish and knows authentic Spanish cuisine - this is THE place...and very reasonable for what you get. LOVE Miro!!!
I Don't Think So!!!

$40 dollar tip for a $30 dollar meal? I DON'T THINK SO. The manager was rude and said she had the utmost trust in her waiters. My brother told her he would KNOW how much tip he gave because it was coming out of HIS card. She told him he was not welcomed to come back to the restaurant again because of the way he was treating her staff. Who the "bleep" pays a forty dollar tip for a thirty dollar meal?

It's good everytime we've been there. It's difficult for us to branch out to other establishments because we've been disappointed many times before. We have date night twice a month and we go to Miro. The food is consistently good. I love their rack of lamb special and their tres leches cake. The service is exceptional. We've always felt that our dinner cost more than we actually paid because we're never disappointed at Miro's.
- Pros: Too many favorite entrees
- Cons: Too many favorite entrees
Sorry I wasted my time, they were not.

Having eaten there recently with some business associates I was looking forward to celebrating my Birthday dinner there together with my wife. Unfortunately making a reservation didn't include getting a comfortable place to sit. When we arrived the hostess ignored us just long enough for us to inhale some second hand cigarette smoke. There's no ventilation so allowing smoking is a bad idea. Eventually she showed us to a seat next to the door. Good thing we made a reservation. After some discussion (better seats were reserved for someone else), we decided the better option was to find another place to eat. No worries we will not be coming back for any reason business or personal.
- Pros: Liked the food but....
- Cons: Didn't get a second chance.

We have been to this place several times and it's become one of our favorites. Every visit we have had good service, never had to wait for a table, great food and wine. Maybe we've been lucky in the service we have received or maybe the management has addressed the problems posted by earlier users. Give this place a try. You shouldn't be disappointed.
- Pros: great food and a good wine selection. Locally owned.
