BS Website information
by chrisanter at Citysearch
So, my wife and I have been looking for a new used car. We have been searching using Autotrader and found a car that seemed really interesting last week. The dealership listed was Town and Country Toyota/Scion. We went to the dealer's website for more information and to see if they had any other cars that were interesting to us. We found 4. We decided to go to the dealership and take a look at them. When we got there, they had already sold the car. In fact they had already sold every one of the cars they had listed. Even though I was pulling up the cars on their website on my phone while I was at the dealership. Now, they don't have anything in stock that is within $5,000 of our price range. A week later, they still have the same vehicles on their website. I think they are just trying to get people to come down without really ever having those vehicles.
Terrible service dept.
by ajohnson85 at Citysearch
I have had my truck serviced here a few times and it seems the mechanics don't know what the hell they are doing. They couldn't do a good alignment and after paying $80 for a simple differential oil change they screwed that up. After I specifically reminded the employee that I need the important limited slip differential additive, they left it out! I came home that night to find a note with a tube of the additive saying they forgot it and I need to add it ASAP. I am not doing any more business with this dealership!!!
Great Toyota Buying Experience Charlotte

Super professional sales team. Brian Barrett and Sean Williams were excellent and worked hard for my best deal. I hope the Service department performs as well. Highly recommended dealer in Charlotte, NC.
Unnecessary repairs, bad parts, long waits
by panthers89 at Citysearch
The prices are high, but what you would expect for a dealer. What you would not expect is terrible service and quality, though with a saccharin-friendly smile.
One time, they told me I had a bad seal leak, but when I challenged them on it (since I knew better), they said that a grease smudge on the engine had confused the mechanic. Another time, they installed a cheap aftermarket part (instead of a Toyota part) that failed relatively quickly. When I brought it back, they refused to repair it under warranty.
If it seems like it is taking a long time, don't just sit there like a fool like I did; get up and find a service rep. That bears repeating - find someone and ask what is going on. This is easier said than done since the waiting room is (perhaps intentionally) far removed from anyone who could help you. Once I sat there for an hour after they told me my car would be out in a minute and that wasn't my worst wait.
It is hard to find anything positive to list from my visits here, but I gave it a try.
- Pros: Comfy waiting chairs
- Cons: Unbearably long waits, questionable repairs
Service Dept

The service waiting room is large but it was dirty. The floor wasn't swept, end table was a mess.
The advisor was pleasent, but average. Didn't feel welcome, I kind of felt I was at an independent shop.
I ask for a wash but they do not offer it. I was a new customer and they did not take my address. Only city and state. So how will they send me the survey that they said I might be getting? Price is slightly on the high side. Overall isn't bad but I had better at other dealership. I will not return
- Pros: Large facility, cushion chairs
- Cons: Dirty, average service
