Don't believe the reviews. I have been looking for good chinese food in Charlotte for a while now. I found a couple of places, but they are not on my side of town. Someone suggested Best Wok to me and the reviews were good so I thought why not. I should have went with the not.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, an egg roll, and crab rangoon. My chicken looked and tasted like it was a day old and had been sitting in grease for the whole day, the rice smelled like sweaty feet, and the crab rangoon was ugh not so delightful. I will say I liked the egg roll and the sauce for my chicken, but the rest was horrible. I would never ever ever recommend this place to anyone.

Best Egg Foo Yung, Makes a great Chop Suey. Best Wok has become a lunch time staple at work. I liked the food soo much that I tried ordering Chop Suey which you do not see on menus anymore. They produced a version of Chop Suey that had a wide variety of veggies and a great flavor. They even adjusted the spiciness to order. Their Egg Foo Yung is a must try. The chef creates this dark robust sauce for the Egg Foo Yung instead of the light brown gravy one sees traditionally. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot.... Make sure you ask them to cook the chicken wings a little longer.

Friendy, Fresh and Fast!. I live just down the street from this quaint, little place! I love it! I used to order from another Chinese food place in the same area, but after getting a tast of Best Wok, I won't go anywhere else! I have never received anything I didn't like. Nothing is ever soggy or mushy or too greasy. They are very friendly and the food and sweet tea are fantastic!

Worth the trip. I found this little place by accident and haven't gone anywhere else since. I take 2 buses to get there, and the food and the service are are well worth the trip. But I always order to go so I have never eaten there. However, I bet if there were more seating, they would really pack 'em in.

Quick Service, Great Food. I don't think I've ever had a bad selection here, not matter what I've ordered. The service is friendly and fast. They make a helluva good glass of sweet tea. The only drawback is there isn't a lot of seating, but I've never had to wait for a table.
