Best hotel bar

Back in July I went to the bar to meet up with some friends. The bartender was was a young Spanish guy that kept us entertained. He even bought us a few drinks. This is the first hotel bar that has really exceeded my expectations.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Pay for parking

Best in Upton
by charlottegirl at Citysearch
Recently for a company conference, I had to go around downtown charlotte to find a "modern" hotel. I checked and visited all I could, and I was very impressed with the Omni!! I think it is the best in charlotte. Clean and New, and right in the middle of everything, great location.
- Pros: Clean, Romantic, Great Service,, Good Conf. Space
Nice for a weekend getaway
by doxer92 at Citysearch
We recently stayed at the hotel this past Sept '02 and thought it was great! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our room (a jr suite with a corner view) was excellent. Our bed WAS triple sheeted and we found extra pillows and robes in the closet. The only downfall was room service which was rather pricey for the quality- while my husband's steak was good, my chicken pasta was horrible, the lemon sauce reminded me of lemon scented lysol! Breakfast in the restaurant was so-so.
- Pros: friendly staff, exercise room
- Cons: food, parking
