From the line in "Pretty Woman": "Big Mistake!". I purchased a Groupon for $20 to get $40 worth of merchandise from Peppermint Forest. One of the items, a clay ring that is supposed to smell like a fir tree, did not work at all. Today I went to the store to return it and get something of equal or greater value. When I went to check out, the cashier told me that I could only get $0.18 credit for my $19.99 purchase. I tried several times to explain to her that I should receive $40 (total) in merchandise, but she said, because of the Groupon, not so. I finally asked if she could check with someone else and she stomped off, throwing her hands in the air and shaking her head. I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely or unfairly in a store before. I teared up and left the store. After calling Groupon, they have refunded my $20, but I want everyone who frequents this store to know that they are not terribly interested in satisfying the customer. I will never shop there again and I hope Groupon will never work with them again. By the way, subscribe to Groupon. It is marvelous!

Unfortunately, with a Groupon purchase, we can not give a 100% refund because the item has been discounted 50%. For example, if you buy a $40 pair of jeans with a 50% off coupon, you pay $20. If you return the jeans, your refund will be $20, not $40. We have been in business for over 30 years and pride ourselves on customer service. Please stop by and we genuinely believe you'll find us to be friendly, professional, and reasonable as thousands of customers have over the years. Merry Christmas!

Buyer Beware. This is why consumers need to be careful when 'buying local.' -The RETURN POLICY! I have been a loyal customer at this establishment for many years and recently learned of their (lack of) return policy. I look forward every year when the store opens to see their new selections and decorating ideas. I was disappointed, however, when we were putting up our decorations this year and a set of candelabra decorative mini wreaths had all exploded while in storage. (It's a wreath that goes around the light bulb on a chandelier) Despite our best efforts to store these properly, the styrofoam decoratives exploded like popcorn. I went back to the store to speak to the manager, only to get an explanation from the sales clerk of their 'Return Policy'...they only take returns before December 25th each year and if the product was garbage, too bad, so sad. The manager, Denita, could not even get off her lazy behind to speak to me regarding this, so hopefully future customers will be warned: Plan on your purchase only lasting that season, if it doesn't there is nothing that can be done...no store credit, no replacement (even though they had them). IF indeed you are unlucky enough to get something from them and think you can go exchange because the product was faulty, you can't even speak to anyone in charge, let alone get credit for the crap they sold you. Go to Target, go to Walmart, K-Mart, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and Pier One to get things that will last longer and you can bring back when it's faulty merchandise that didn't last but a month and get store credit at least. Never plan on going there again after this experience.

It is our policy not to accept returns after December 24th of each year because of the obvious reason that people try to return decorations after they've used them for the season. If an item has a manufacturer's defect, exceptions can be made. However, a receipt must be presented to ensure that the correct refund or exchange is made. Without a receipt, the items a customer is attempting to return may not have even come from our shop. Customer service is of utmost importance to us and we pride ourselves on it. Unfortunately, you can't make everyone happy all of the time, but that is our goal and we come extremely close to doing that. We have been a Better Business Bureau A+ accredited business for over 30 years and have established great relationships with thousands of families across the Carolinas during that time. Please stop in and see us and we're sure you'll find us to be friendly, accommodating, helpful, and professional. Merry Christmas!

Great place for trees!. Christmas trees of all kinds are displayed with and without lights and decorations. it could be hard to make a selection but the sales staff helps you sort it all out.
