Good Korean Food. Being Korean, the food was pretty good. If you're looking for some upscale restaurant with uppity waiters/waitresses this is not the place. The food is like you would cook at home, pretty good with nothing fancy. You can have them bring you the meat to cook yourself if you order enough, but they won't fire up the grill so that one person can cook an individual portion. The staff is all Korean and yes they don't speak much English, but its a Korean restaurant, find some Korean friends and take them there with you.

Authentic Korean Food. Very authentic korean food, hard to find in Charlotte. Kim-chee chige was very good. Bulgogie, while not served at the table, is very good as well. Overall a great experience.

User review by jolieryoko. The menu is mostly in Korean and the wait staff's english is poor. Since I cannot speak or read Korean, this was a problem. I was hoping to have real Korean barbeque that you cook on a little grill, but when I ordered a plate of low quality glazed chicken bits and a plate of already grilled beef came out. Very over priced, the whole meal was $30. I could have gotten this kind of food much cheaper at a normal chinese restaurant.

A great place for a starter lesson on Asian cuisine, or to introduce your palate to sushi.. In Brief
Though an otherwise plain restaurant, Koryo Garden"s own garden, immediately to your left when you come in, sets a nice mood with a collection of plants and fountains. The lunch and dinner buffets offer Chinese, Korean, and Japanese specialties, including California rolls and other sushi, and are a great way to get a sense of what you like and dislike. Ever helpful, the staff will let you know what you're eating, so if you like it, you can order it off the menu next time.
