Great Salon...just a little snobby. Definitely request Michelle - she is very knowledgeable and had always done a great job. She does not have a snobby attitude.

I had called about a last minute appointment. Michelle was not available, which is understandable. I did not have an issue that she did not have any openings - I was caling at the last minute after all.

When I asked the lady who answered the phone if there was anyone else available, she curtly replied, "No."

She obviously did not check. Her attitude just left me feeling like I was not valued as a customer. I have not been back since and have found another place that does a great job and never gives me this attitude.

It's too bad since I really liked Michelle, but I refuse to spend hard earned money in a place where I, the customer, am treated with a snobby attitude. Wish I had her name so I could list it here.

Great hair cuts for both sexes!. New to the area and felt welcomed and taken very well care of from the moment you walk into the door.Sarah is very professional, She takes her time, listens to what you want and then makes it happen! Very helpful and gave great insight to the area as well. Both my husband and I were happy and have gone back again. Best cut we both have had in a long time!

Wonderful experience with Michelle. I have never had a stylist who could color my hair the way Michelle does mine. Instead of just putting in highlights, she suggested I do an all over color as a base and then put in additional subtle highlights. I am a dark brunette with aging hair - few grays and thinning hair. The results are spectacular!! Now my hair is shiny with highlights that make my face more youthful! I have had so many compliments from friends and business contacts.

The cut is really cute too! If you want a fabulous New Do - make an appointment with Michelle at Serendipity in Huntersville. She's super nice too!!

I cried while doing my hair this morning.. I got a Groupon for Serenditpy and I'm sorry I didn't pay full price and go somewhere else. I have long super straight heavy healthy all-one-length hair. Or at least i DID. I hadn't gotten my hair cut in several months and I knew it was time to get my end cuts, but I thought I wanted a bit of a change as well so I thought I'd ask for some layers. I brought in a picture of shoulder length layered hair with fairly long layers. My stylist was Michelle and she looked at the picture and said "well, you'll have to curl it". I told her I knew that, since the layers were curly at the ends and I have straight hair. She then asked me why I wanted to cut it shorter (going to the length in the picture would have meant cutting off about 3-4 inches of my hair). What I should have said was "because I WANT to", but I said "because my hair is pretty heavy". Then she began to tell me that it was heavy because my hair in the back middle of my head was what was weighing it down. She said to leave most of the length and then cut layers in the rest. I said ok. ?? Then I asked her not to slither or razor my hair, as I have had that done before and I didn't like how it looked. She said "that is because you have a lot of fine hair". Whatever, I just didn't like how it looked in past cuts. She proceeded to layer the CRAP out of my hair and slither/razor the hell out of it. I told her that I didn't want to have to do much with it in the mornings and I don't think she listened at all. I don't use much/if any product in my hair and she said "you should, product is your friend". ?? When she went to blow dry my hair she put all kinds of root lifter in it, then blow dried it in a way that I would never be able to do at home unless I had 6 hands, then she BACK-COMBED my hair. I should have stopped her long before this, but I definitely should have stopped her here. I would NEVER back-comb my hair. She then hairsprayed the crap out of my head. I should have said something to her right then, but most of the time I get my hair cut, i'm not "in love" with it at the salon, but the next day after i wash it and do my own styling, i like it. I cried this morning doing my hair. She chopped it up so bad, it doesn't even look healthy anymore. I feel like i walked in there wanting something and i left after she did whatever she wanted to my hair. I feel so powerless at hair salons. If you tell them you don't want something and they do it anyway, if you stop them...who knows how your haircut will end up. I feel like even if i went back and told her how i felt, this haircut can't be fixed. I just have to wait several months for the layers to grow in enough to even do anything with it.

Sarah is Wonderful!. Wow! I had been looking for a great salon and stylist and I have found the place! Sarah gave me a wonderful cut and now I am rocking some edgy bangs that I have always wanted but never had the courage to try! The salon is also a warm and welcoming environment that I would definitely recommend.

Great!. Jessica is awesome!! I have never been to a salon and been completely happy with my color and cut. I have never left Jessica unhappy. Her color skills are wonderful! Everyone is very personable and the salon is super cute. I highly recommend this salon!

Jessica is a true artist !. I love the way Jessica styles my hair ! She cuts my hair to the shape of my head, and not just a style from a picture. She is wonderful with color, and I feel so good after every visit ! The shop is very cool and has all the products to maintain your look. If your not sure what looks good on you, just put yourself in Jessie's hands - you will be thrilled with how you look !

Great Experience!. Okay so I've been to a few Salons in Huntersville and I've always left somewhat dissapointed. When I walked into Serendipity I was worried because it was a small place, however the staff was so nice! I walked in thinking I wanted a certain haircut, but when Michele sat me down she made sure she advised me what would look better on me and I went with it. I loved the fact that she was not afraid to steer me into a better direction. I have very curly and thick hair. I left there with an awesome shorter haircut and she blowed my hair out silky smooth! I've had sooo many compliments since my haircut. I love it and I think I finally found a place for me. Not only did I get a cut, I also learned a few things about my hair.

WOW!!. Wow! This was my first time at Serendipity but it will NOT be my last! I had a fantastic hair cut done by Michelle! I have thick, wavy/curly, frizzy hair that nobody seems to cut & style well. I was not expecting much (because like I said nobody cuts my hair well). I was surprised! Michelle gave me a great sassy new hair cut that I love! Not to mention that she showed me how to get the look at home. Also she let me know some things about my hair that I didn't know. This is a great salon & I can't wait to go back!

Jessica - a wiz with the frizz!. First, let me start by saying that I had lived in Charlotte for 2.5 years before I found Serendipity and tried several hair salons (including Modern Salon & Spa) that all ended in disaster. My hair is REALLY thick, heavy, long and curly and the only ones I ever went to before were Dominican Hair Salons in New York (yes, I am Dominican also).

Everywhere I went all anyone wanted to do was recommend a relaxer ... that is to make their job easier but those of us who have known relaxers you can expect your hair to start breaking and falling out immediately!

When I arrived to Serendipity, my hair was looked at with a combination of oooh's and aaaah's and the only person recommended with the knowledge and experience to deal with my hair was Jessica. She flat-out told me she will never do a relaxer and if that's what I wanted I could look somewhere else. Immediately, I was in-love!!!

1.5 years later, Jessica has a pair of biceps that could put her in the running for the Athletic Woman cover page of a magazine and I have manageable, soft, and healthy hair without losing the curl that I love.
