Ruined our vacation.
Reserved a Jeep one year in advanced for Myrtle Beach. The representative stated we should fly into Charlotte and enjoy our Jeep drive down to Myrtle which is about a four hour drive. So we decided to fly into Charlotte instead of directly into Myrtle. We could not find a Jeep in Myrtle, which is why we decided to go this route.
Two weeks prior to our trip we e-mailed Carolina Car Rental to assure ourselves we would have our Jeep. They assured us and stated we would be driving in a new Jeep when we arrived.
Twelve hours prior to our flight they called and stated that they would not have a Jeep and that we were pretty much out of luck. They stated they never recieved a Jeep and wouldn't be able to fullfill our request. Obviousely I was quite upset and asked them what they would do. They simple stated we can rent you another SUV but it would be $70.00 for the week.
In other words even though we had three e-mails from them assuring us that they would have a Jeep and had us plan our vacation around their being able to deliver, they ended up putting the screws to us. They wouldn't even try and compromise with us in regards to vehicle choices.
They were very unprofessional and rude. I would highly recommend not renting from Carolina Car Rental. I also have copies of all they e-mail correspondance that transpired.
