Classic Greek favorites with a very American twist.. The Scene


The first word that comes to mind is "kitsch." The bright colors mixed with glitter and busy patterns are striking upon first exposure, but after a few visits they become symbolically representative of the friendly atmosphere and great food diners always find at this Charlotte classic.



The Food


From pita burgers to gyros to platters, the fare at Showmars is consistently delicious and always satisfying. For lunch, it's well worth fighting the crowds to sink your teeth into an All-American Pita Burger, two patties with cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on a fresh, warm pita bread complemented by Showmars' signature fries (crinkle cut with just the right level of crispiness in every bite). If you're really hungry, go for the Old Fashioned Pita Burger with chili and slaw or grab a Gyro platter, a tried and true favorite. Lighter selections include crisp Greek salads and the very authentic Souvlaki Dinner.
