I was verbally assaulted by two personal trainers here

I THOUGHT EVERYONE SOHULD KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AT THIS BALLYS LOCATION. I WAS VERBALLY ASSAULTED BY 2 PERSONAL TRAINERS. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE

Background: I have been a member of Ballys for 6 years. I was a member in NY for 2 years then Central for 3 then Pineville for 1. I recently switched back from Pineville to Central because I had moved. They have changed most of their staff and I have to say the gym has gone downhill...not clean at all.

The Incident: I was working out one night and decided to grab a barbell from the "personal trainer" room. There was 1 male and 1female personal trainer working out with their clients at the time...so I simply wanted to grab the barbell, assemble it, and workout in another room (in all my years at Bally's no one has given me a problem with this. This is the only room where these barbells are located at this location-the ones upstairs are too heavy for me).

While in the process of putting the barbell together, the male pt said very rudly "um do you need something". I explained to him I was just grabbing a barbell...he continued to give me an attitude...told me I needed to ask before coming in blah blah blah. I explained to him how the ones upstairs are too heavy and he said (getting louder) that the room was for pt use only...I told him to go get the manager if he had a problem with it and I continued to assemble the barbell.( After all, I am the customer arent I?) He then started YELLING at me telling me "LEAVE NOW I AM THE MANAGER" "YOU CAN GO FIND A NEW PLACE TO WORKOUT" ranting and raving like a crazy person (I am a petite female 5'4 by the way). THEN the female pt beings to YELL at me to leave. Finally, after getting really intimidated by BOTH of them YELLEING at me I went to the front desk. The male pt FOLLOWS ME AND CONTINUES TO YELL AT ME...the whole gym is watchng by now. I Find out he wasn't even the manager...just a personal trainer. The manager calms him down and I then went into the managers office to explain my situation. He told me he would "take care of the situation...and there is a process they need to go throgh and it woudl never happen again". He would not give me their NAMES which I asked for over and over so I could report it to corporate. I was crying I was so mad and scared and intimidated by having a huge guy yelling in your face. I am IRATE. AND I WAS THE ONE THAT HAD TO LEAVE BECAUSE I WAS TOO SCARED TO STAY THERE....THE MANAGER DIDNT EVEN SEND THE TWO EMPLOYEES HOME. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE- IF THEY WERE MY EMPLOYEES I WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO GO HOME FOR THE NIGHT AND DISCUSS CONSEQUENCES THE NEXT DAY. The manager even agreed with me and told me it should not have happened....WELL THEN YOU SEND THEM HOME!!! NOT HAVE ME GO HOME BECAUSE I AM TOO SCARED TO WORK OUT!!

Needless to say, Bally total SHITness has lost me as a client....I will never purchase a membership again...I will be going to the YMCA for now on...at least I won't have to worry about being assaulted by the staff!
