Thai Orchid Restaurant

Restaurant is insulting to an entire culture!. If you ate nothing but processed food your whole life then maybe you think few vegetables put together can be called delicious. Here's my challenge to all of you who had anything remotely nice thing to say about this place. Instead of wasting your money at this restaurant, save some cash and travel outside mecklenburg county and even perhaps out of the country. Then, maybe you'll understand what words like delicious, tasty, savoring actually mean. Thai are gracious hosts and have an indulging cuisine. Both things are absent from here. The owner of this place is laughing to the bank making fools of everyday patrons who have no idea what delicious means. If you frequent this place, take a long hard look in the mirror because it's people like you who settle for anything that as a nation we are in money mess. If you pay for something then atleast expect some quality in return!…

The Best Thai Food. I ate at the Thai Orchid last night, it was as good as it was years ago when they opened, I actually followed them from Central Avenue. I've eaten Thai from New York to Miami to LA to San Francisco and it is by far my favorite restaurant.

When I read the negative review on this site my first thought was "they must own a Thai restaurant and are competing for business, or they know nothing about Thai food, because this is not true"

Totally worth it!. I find it interesting that a previous reviewer fusses that Thai Orchid is not authentic but then goes on to fuss because they aren't adventurous. Ummm, which is it??? I've tried many Thai restaurants in town and Thai Orchid is consistently the best, specifically concerning the taste and quality of the dishes. The setting is also very pleasant, and I love the staff. I think some people may be confused about what constitutes rudeness vs. a lack of traditional Southern perkiness that they come to expect in many of the wait staffs in Charlotte. The staff here is great, and they are very funny and conversational if you engage them like normal human beings instead of treating them like servants.

BTW, the Red Coconut curry is excellent.…
