Really great style!

I've never actually shopped in this boutique, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it featured in a supplement to Marie Claire's September's issue called 'The New Way to Shop.' Laura Vinroot Poole is featured as a 'smart retailer' and I'm not sure if the items shown are in her store, but even if they aren't, items she does have are sure to be just as awesome! I can't wait to visit her store the next time I make the trek from Raleigh to Charlotte! Kudos for putting NC on the map!

Wonderful, a candy store for fashion addicts!!!!!

I will preface my review by letting you know I am by no means a typical Capitol customer, but I was still treated like one! Capitol is a gorgeous shop! I did not feel out of place even when I went in in my gym clothes and the salesgirl Morgan was very engaging and friendly! For the reviewers that felt that some of the people at Capitol may have not been friendly, it is important to remember that people's atittudes towards you are normally a direct reflection of how you are being percieved. (i.e. if you go in thinking that people will be snotty, you may appear that you are). I do understand that it still does happen and people pre-judge, but in my personal experience, Capitol is excellent! In my opinion I think Neiman Marcus is one of the worst places for service, as many of the salespeople feel they are much too good for the less affluent customers, like myself. Overall, Capitol is wonderful, has great customers service and a gorgeous array of designer clothing! Not to be missed!

Paving a new road for fashion--String art? Who knew?

Where do I even begin. I am actually from Washington, DC and have been visiting Charlotte for the past year or so for business. And boy, did I think i had seen it all. Last night I passed by the most spectacular window display I have EVER seen! A young girl was sitting crouch down in the window hammering about a million nails into the wall where the mannequins are displayed. She was actually weaving string and creating the logos of the designers that Capitol is so famous for carrying. I was speechless. Not only does that store have phenomenal customer service and cutting edge trends--but they are really embracing a new avenue in artistic design. The time and attention that this store puts into everything that they do is remarkable. Capitol is paving the way for a new caliber of retail--everyone should check it out!
