Not For Me. Although the stylist who did my hair went in the general direction of what I requested, overall I was not very happy with how it turned out. Maybe they are not used to doing trendy and current hair? Also, I noticed during my visit that his station was not very well maintained and there was hair all over the ground and on the magazines. After allowing the haircut and color to grow on me for a while and getting not so great feedback from others, I chose to go and have it all redone at another salon. Personally, I would never go back.

Want positive compliments on your hair?. Marilyn at Salon on Selwyn has been my hairdresser for several years. She keeps my style updated and I receive compliments on the color and cut wherever I travel. She is excellent!!!

Best hair in Myers Park!!!!!. Best salon I have ever been to!!! Mary Susan is absolutely the best stylist and colorist and I feel terrific everytime I come out of my appointment. The whole atmosphere and professionalism of the salon and staff make it the premier place to go in Charlotte. 9 years of compliments and counting! Girls (and guys),when your hair looks fabulous,you feel fabulous--got to give them a try!

Neil does great cut and color at a great price. I've been going to Neil since he was at Strawberry Hill. I always get compliments on my hair, both cut and color. He's done highlights for me, he's styled my hair for parties. It never fails, people always like my hair. Not only that, I love going to the salon, everybody's so friendly. I'll go anywhere else for my hair but Neil at Salon on Selwyn

Excellent salon experience!. I have been going to Salon on Selwyn since it opened. I would highly recommend Mary or Marilyn to anyone who wanted a "top notch" salon experience!

HIGHLY RECCOMEND. the salon on selwyn is great i totally reccomend it to anyone.Every time i have been there i have had wonderful service.If you want a great cut,color,and stylist i would highly recommend mary She knows how to handle customers and always is great.

Great customer service. I have been going to Salon on Selwyn for the past 6 months and it has been a wonderful experience. If you want great color and cut ask for Neil.

Would not recommend. It is important to remember that each stylist does their own work here, so my negative experience was only with one. Perhaps he was just having a bad day, but my hair looks pretty bad. Unless someone has personally recommended a stylist here to you, I might try somewhere else.

Very Pleasing Experience. This salon operates very differently from chain salons, as it's comprised of independently operating stylists. The one I saw was extremely good about listening to my preferences and concerns, and did an amazing job on my thin, dry hair. I have great shine and sharp color, and the cut is truly representative of what I described to my stylist. A Charlotte gem!
