Selling my STOLEN watch.
If there is a zero star I would have given it to this place.
Recently I proved , presenting her with conclusive evidence of police reports, original receipts of purchases, to the owner that she is selling an item stolen from me and she still refused to return the item to me.
She was not cooperative with me and I believe that ethically and professionally, the owner should be more careful where to get her merchandise.
I still hope that the owner does what is right and return my stolen item without further aggrevation (which is my right by law).
Unprofessional and incompetent.
Over Thanksgiving, I was at my mother's house and found a vintage costume jewelry type ring. It was a present from her parents when she was in high school (over 30 years ago), which they bought in Puerto Rico on vacation. It was a really neat ring that I loved at first sight, but it was just a little big, so I asked my mom if I could get it resized because I would love to wear it. It was a big to medium sized ring with a brassy, dark silver band with a topaz colored synthetic stone-- so not worth a ton of money, like a diamond, but really unique! Anyway, I brought it to Towers to have it resized and they said, "No, problem!".
However, when I went to pick it up, I didn't even recognize the ring. The silver was no longer vintage looking, but looked as though it was dipped in some chemical to make it extra "clean?, but what it did was took the stone's pretty color completely off (now, it looked like a cheapo CZ ring). So I came in with a 70?s styled ring my mom wore when she was in high school and came out with a ring that looked like something my 3 year old niece would wear. So, yeah, it wasn't the most expensive ring, but she SCREWED it up. And then when my face fell and I was in total shock at what the ring transformed into, she just simply stated they "cleaned" it and asked for the twenty dollars I owed her. Ugh. It wasn't a money issue. It was the fact that the ring was irreversible changed. And if someone brings in a ring that you cannot resize without changing the look of it, then freaking tell me. Ridiculous.
