Was introduced to Charlotte Cafe last night. Food and Service was great! So many different selections to offer. Candied Yams and Meat Loaf were delicious! Banana Pudding!! Everything tasted homemade. We will definitely go back.
- Pros: Good food with good price

I ate at the cafe at the Arboretum, the food was hot and great. Where else can you get a full breakfast for $5.00 . I took a friend back for lunch and that was great too. I will be back for dinner , You can count on it.
- Pros: Good Food served with a smile

I took my Mother in to Charlotte Cafe at Arboretum around 3:15 ..Four people in whole resturant.. We were totally ignored about even getting something to drink..Waitrress busy talking to other staff and cleaning up tables to even notice us ..Finally got something to drink and heaven help if we were really hungry!! (which my Mother was and PEOPLE ..not even lunch hour?? Finally got meal after 30 minutes and had to ask for more coffee etc.. I waitressed myself so I know how to wait on people.. and the meal was OUTRAGEOUS.. !!! NEVER again in my lifetime......
- Pros: WORSE SERVICE ever!!!
- Cons: Food OK
Southern food done right!

The Charlotte Cafe has some entrees on its menu that are staples in many similar restaurants in town like fried flounder, pork chops and beef tips, it set its self apart with offerings that you might not expect. The special on the day I visited was corned beef and cabbage I believe, and the extensive list of vegetables and other sides were among the best I have seen in town. The backbone of my college diet was found at a meat and three restaurant that I still compare all others to, and Charlotte Cafe did not disappoint! A southern girl who loves her salmon patties, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the patty that was on my plate. You definitely get your monies worth, the macaroni and cheese was almost as good as my mom's and the sweet tea was great. An outstanding meal on a hot summer's day! The menu selection, atmosphere and wonderful service make it a certainty that I will be back again- soon!
- Pros: Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Great food at a reasonable price for Charlotte.
They do simple right

One of the best breakfasts you can find. Their pancakes are delicious and the eggs and meat are tasty without the undue grease of other breakfast places.
Their lunches and dinner are not flashy but very tasty and affordable.
The place has a nice neighborhood feel with a lot of older local clientele. It's been there a while and it feels like it.
- Pros: Nice ambience, great service
