In Short – A cake from Edible Art is truly a work of beauty. The house speciality is homemade pound cakes in almond, chocolate, lemon or vanilla covered in amazing icing designs. For wedding cake ideas, browse the design books and in-store displays; if you still can't find what you're looking for, a consultant will help create your original masterpiece. Decorations are available in-house, but the bakery will also work with a florist or add on any sculptures you provide. – – – – – –
Very, very dry cake
by CakeLover
Despite reading negative comments about Edible Art on other web sites, I ordered a cake from them this weekend because the location is so convenient. We were VERY disappointed. Our cake was very, very dry, and our guests did not enjoy it .
- Cons: My guests weren't pleased
A really great place to get a cake
by cakelady45
I've been using Edible Art of Charlotte for 10 years and they've always been really nice and very professional to me. I've called them at the last minute and they've always come through for me in a pinch. Their cakes are very rich so if you want a light, fluffy "box" cake this is not the place for you. I will never go anywhere else except Edible Art. They're the best.
- Pros: Great cakes!!
- Cons: Parking!!
Lead weight
by wildberry
I purchased a cake for my daughter's 15th birthday, when I cut into the cake I was horrified. There was a one inch thick mound of dough in the middle. It appeared it was uncooked and was unedible. I called and left two messages. A surley women returned my call, she stated they try not to let the cakes go out that way but she would offer me a free cake for the future. She assured me it was cooked just extremely dense. She then put down the phone and mocked me to the other employees, repeatedly making fun of me. Nice customer service, funny -she didn't have that tone when I ordered and paid in full weeks earlier. I would NEVER recommend them unless you need a lead weight.
- Pros: Nice decoration but unedible
- Cons: Surley Customer Service
