Perfection!. I love, love, love this place!! Don't listen to these unsatisfied people on here. They wouldn't know a good thing if it hit them in the head. These cakes are the real deal. People talking about "dough" have not a clue about what a real southern pound cake is. The "dough" is what us southerners call a "sad streak" and it is the best part! Stop hating and enjoy life, people. Eat the "sad streak" and ENJOY!!! Love this place!! Keep up the good work!

Sweet 16 not!!!. Wished i would have seen the reviews first. We purchased a Sweet 16 cake for our daughters birthday and what a dissapointment it ended up being. The party was a big hit but the cake was not so. When we cut into the cake and served it to the first few guess you could see it all over their faces that this cake was not so SWEET matter of fact it was like a soild piece of dough. You could actully take the cake and form it into a ball as of it was cookie dough. We took the cake back to EdibleArt and was meet by the owner, whom I explained the problem too and she informed me that it is a very dense pound cake like grandma makes and it comes from a old family reciept. I told her that you could form dough balls out of the cake, and she asked me if I ever had pound cake before, and i said yes and her response to me is "well i guess you just don.t like pound cake". The truth of the matter is my mother was a pastry chlef her entirer life and i must say i do miss her pound cake. So i guess i just dont care for your pound cake that is nothing but a 10 pound lead wieght. Spent $130 dollars on this cake only to find we wasted a $130. Unless you have the money to throw down the drain don't buy a cake from Edible Art.

Soooo Disappointed!!!. I am new to the area and have been looking desperately for a bakery that does custom cakes for children. I saw Edible Art of Charlotte online and despite all of the bad reviews I still took a chance at purchasing a cake for my son's birthday. Please, please, please take the reviews posted on this site into consideration; I wish I would have. The cake was soooo ugly and cheap looking. It looked like my daughter made it with her Easy Bake Oven and they wanted to charge me $120.00. I refused to pay for it or even take it home. The lady at the bakery did allow me to take the cake without paying the remaining balance. So I took it to Harris Teeter, where they made it look a little better for the party. We served the cake to the guest and it was soooo NASTY! The cake was sooooo DRY and it tasted like it was not done; just like the reviews stated. This bakery needs to go out of business. Please take these reviews into consideration. I never write reviews, but took the time because I do not want anyone to have a party that was ruined like I did.

Disappointed!. I was really excited to be ordering another cake from Edible Art. The last time I ordered one for my husband's 40th birthday, it was wonderful! I had guests comment that they didn't like cake or eat it usually but this one was fantastic. So I decided to splurge on my son's cake this year. Usually I just get one at Harris Teeter but since he wanted a "cheetah" cake I knew the perfect place to get a cake. I was extremely disappointed to say the very least. The cake was dry and tasted like it had been left out on a counter for days. The icing was so sweet it didn't even taste good. My husband thought the cheetah looked more like a dog than a cheetah.I spent close to $65.00 on a cake and I would have been better off making one myself or getting one at Harris Teeter. I won't bother getting a cake from here again.

Very, very dry cake. Despite reading negative comments about Edible Art on other web sites, I ordered a cake from them this weekend because the location is so convenient. We were VERY disappointed. Our cake was very, very dry, and our guests did not enjoy it .

A really great place to get a cake. I've been using Edible Art of Charlotte for 10 years and they've always been really nice and very professional to me. I've called them at the last minute and they've always come through for me in a pinch. Their cakes are very rich so if you want a light, fluffy "box" cake this is not the place for you. I will never go anywhere else except Edible Art. They're the best.

Lead weight. I purchased a cake for my daughter's 15th birthday, when I cut into the cake I was horrified. There was a one inch thick mound of dough in the middle. It appeared it was uncooked and was unedible. I called and left two messages. A surley women returned my call, she stated they try not to let the cakes go out that way but she would offer me a free cake for the future. She assured me it was cooked just extremely dense. She then put down the phone and mocked me to the other employees, repeatedly making fun of me. Nice customer service, funny -she didn't have that tone when I ordered and paid in full weeks earlier. I would NEVER recommend them unless you need a lead weight.

wonderful sweets. I'm from Florida and we don't have anything nearly as good as this nice little shop. The cakes that I've had were wonderful. The designs are so creative and the young ladies there were very nice and knew exactly what I was looking for. The almond cake is wonderful and the chocolate was just devine. I'll be back for more! Thank you.

Praises, praises, praises. Praises go out to Edible Arts of Charlotte. They were very professional and nice. We had their undivided attention when ordering our daughter's Christening cake and it was both beautiful and delicious! They treated my husband and I like we were the only ones in the the store that day and it was a full house. They had our best interest at heart. The only thing I didn't like was that the cake was uncovered. It was a three tier but it would be nice if they could find a way to keep it covered until it reaches it's destination. I have recommended all my family and friends to Edible Arts. We will see you soon for a baby shower cake!!! May your business continue to be blessed.

Best Bakery in Charlotte!!!!. This bakery is phenomenal. I sent them several pictures I had found on the internet, and they duplicated this to the nth degree! It exceeds all of my expectations. The customer service is wonderful, the shop is ultra clean, and pastry skills supberb!

I really can't imagine my wedding or bridal shower without a cake from Edible Art. They are THE BEST IN CHARLOTTE! I wouldn't trust anyone else for any cake I need. I am a customer for life!!!
