Small, friendly venue. Always enjoy shows at this smaller venue. The staff is really friendly, drink prices are fair, unfortumately the only food is chips so eat before you go.
Pass on Oven's.
We paid $100/seat to see Jerry Seinfeld, and when we arrived, the ushers could not locate our seats.
The solution: we were given folding chairs and told that would have to do. We could either see the show or not. There were a LOT of folding chairs out there, not just ours.
When we bought the tickets, there was no indication that the seats we were buying were any different than any other. Oven's is playing games and profiting from the deception.
Buyer BEWARE!
Ovens is the larger alternative to Uptown Charlotte's performance venues, allowing more people to come enjoy the music and drama..
What You'll See
Adjacent to Independence Arena, Ovens offers seating for up to 2,600 theater-goers. This becomes important when nationally and internationally acclaimed shows like "Les Miserables" and "Cats" come to Charlotte.
Lounging Around
Inside, the Starlight Lounge can hold up to 500 people and provides all kinds of refreshments.
History 101
Ovens Auditorium is over 40 years old but has recently been completely renovated--it now has the modern amenities.
