Haven For Crime!. I have a friend that lived at Darby Terrace Apartments and he used to tell me to make sure that I park under lights and make sure that I lock my car doors -- when visiting -- because of the thieves that lived in the neighborhood. In fact, one night when I was over his apartment, he told me that his jumper cables were stolen from his vehicle. He also told me that he was told that the so-called on-premise security cameras were not connected. I am a married guy with a family and would not move my family to these apartments.

Family friendly, Safe, Beautiful, and Clean!. Darby Terrace Apts is even better than the brochure! Living here is great because our neighbors are quiet and friendly, the staff is professional and helpful, and our apartment is affordable, clean and beautifully decorated. The only things demanded from management are that you pay on time, respect the law, and respect your neighbors. Otherwise, you are happily left to enjoy your stay. My kids love playing tag in the grassy courtyard behind our terrace on the weekends. Having that huge, clean playspace makes them less homesick for the yard we left in our little town when we moved here to Charlotte. The street is so safe that all the area kids can catch school buses outside the front door (the district can not send buses to any unsafe area). I also appreciate the convenience of the grocery stores, Walmart, post office, and interstate. I would recommend Darby Terrace to anyone relocating to the area and/or looking for short term housing at a great price, with no hassles, and in a safe, convenient area.

Darby Terrace located in. I would not recommend staying at Darby Terrace Apartments located at 4501 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 28205, unless you are used to armed robberies, break ins, murders, ladies and men of the night, illegal pharmaceuticals, and other heinous crimes. Do not take my word for it, investigate it yourself on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's website. They keep all of the crime statistics by addresses. Furthermore, check out the long cracks in the ceiling in unit #46 and stay there at your own risk! In addition, they take the stance that they can "and will" enter your apartment at anytime for any reason they deem necessary. So if you have privacy issues, you may want to look elsewhere.

Darby Terrace is great!. I have stayed at Darby Terrace for the last 4 years for work related issues, and have found it to be above all extremely satisfactory. THE entire staff is not only professional, but will respond to your needs immediately. Whoever wrote the comments that they relocated after 7 years, well, if you would read your own signed legal document called a lease and followed it through, there would OBVIOUSLY not be any issues. Why should you have any special treatment over any other tenant?

CLEAN FRIENDLY SHORT TERM LEASEING. Darby Terrace Apartments staff were friendly and went the extra mile. My apartment apon move in was spotless and beautiful, with up to date furniture, at a price that I could easily afford. The community was quiet and the staff friendly. With a month to month lease it made my time here, easy, relaxed, and a relief, I woud definatley stay here again.
