Beware of this business!.
I brought my wedding band to this business to be re-sized. When I finally returned to pick it up, I was told it had gotten "misplaced". Because the owner and employees were very polite, I gave them an extremely generous amount of time and numerous second chances to find it; finally, many months later, it's clear they are just stonewalling, cannot find this object I entrusted them with (engraved, with sentimental value, and which my wife purchased for me for $3,400), but refuse to file an insurance claim (after telling me many months ago they would, if necessary). Now I'm told they want ME to file a claim on MY Homeowner's Insurance, which is ridiculous and which my agent verified.
Even though the employee I spoke with today (whose name I shall withhold here at least at this time) claimed to have the ability to hack into my personal financial information on the computer, and threatened to do so, after I explained that I would be taking this very step in posting my experiences, I am doing this anyway because I think this business's practices should be exposed. (I wouldn't want to be him after his statement if it turns out, coincidentally or otherwise, that I ever DO get hacked.)
Be VERY wary about who you entrust your valuables with; based on my experience I STRONGLY suggest you avoid Central Avenue Jewelry & Pawn.
