Best Pizza in Charlotte. For those who love pizza and are trying to lose weight, should try the veggies on whole wheat. You can eat your pizza and still eat be healthy.
Disappointing. I read the raving reviews about the quality of the pizza and in the end I was left disappointed. I got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of BBQ chicken pizza ($5.50ish). I used to work in a pizza place serving pizza similar to Fuel's. The pizza slices I got tasted exactly like the pizza we had sitting out on the counter all day (as opposed to the fresh pies). Specifically, the pepperoni slice was pretty hot but nothing to write home about in terms of quality of the sauce and dough. The BBQ chicken slice was luke-warm at best and all I could taste was the BBQ sauce, although there was alot of chicken on it that gave it a good texture. I imagine ordering a whole pie fresh would be much better. There is potential and maybe I got a couple of bad pieces at a slow time of the night (6:30pm) but I was disappointed nonetheless. I should also mention that the people working there were really nice, and I'm sure if I said something they would have made it right. In summary if you go there I would recommend going at a busier time of the day or ordering a fresh pie as opposed to the ones on display by the slice.
Just typical southern pizza. I kept getting told how good it was. It's garbage. It's cooked on a conveyer belt. Service is great, but the pizza is just plane garbage.
It's ok.... As Charlotte has grown, so has the number of pizza places. After hearing how tasty and wonderful Fuel Pizza was by many people and so-called food critics, there was no doubt I salivated with high expectations my way over there. The service was friendly and did well with smiles considering the high volume of customers, but the pizza was disappointingly ??nothing to write home about?. Not that it was bad, it was simply average. There is definitely room for improvement in regard to their pizza sauce.
this the best place i have been to and i travel alot..
To whom it may concern
That is the best pizza i have ever eaten and the workers are polite and the sevice is the best i have seen.
The place is always bizzy and the line goes out the door the longest i waited is 6min. before beening served.
This old service station doesn't serve gas anymore--just some of the best pizza in town..
In Short
One of the cooler restoration projects you'll see, this funky neighborhood hangout used to be a gas station. It has retained the service-station theme in name and decor; outside seating is where the gas pumps were. Patrons can order by the (huge) slice, or create their own combinations from the menu. There are basic as well as the gourmet-style pies; appetizers include the garlic knots--wads of dough baked with garlic and butter.
Wonderful experience!. New York City without the attitude! This place is clean & friendly! Everyone is welcome! Business people sit next to mechanics, & everyone has fun! The pizza is wonderful, as are all the other items. One question: why wont they franchise? This is too good to keep to themselves!
Best pizza on the planet. This is my absolute favorite pizza. I drive all the way from Ohio to get these pie's!! It's great!
Fun, great food. Fun place with Great food! Always good pizza! Cool atosphere! Counter service in a retro fuel station. Real NYC pizza.
pizza available by the slice. Fuel has the best pizza in Charlotte, and is a fun place to go with a larger group. Whole wheat pizza dough is also available.
