Another East Charlotte Secret. "Zhank you fah cawling Portofino Eastway!" I have been calling this place to place orders for the past 15 years and i never get tired of hearing the Italian accent on the other end of the line. OH! and the food's good, too. My husband thinks this pizza is the best. Between here and Capriccio's, I'm not sure, both great. We love the antipasto, Hot Subs, Veal Marsala, and desserts. Consistently Good. This is another East Charlotte gem worth trying.

Little Italy in CLT. I fell in love with this place many years ago.

You'd never know it was there.

Best Pizza in CLT, just add oregeno.

No one does that here.

Good old fashion Italian. We have gone to this place a few times and by far it is like old school italian. The portions are generous and the prices are great. The atmosphere is perfect and you can even sit outside on a nice warm night. Overall this is the best italian food I have tatsed in Charlotte.

Not the best pizza in Charlotte. This place may not be as bad as the rating I gave it, but I'm going to tell you why! This place has been 50/50 for me and several other people I know. I was there last night and the pizza was burnt! They wouldn't take it back beacuse "I bit into the pizza and noticed it was burnt" The server said I shouldn't have tasted the pizza and they would have taken it back. That makes a TON of sense. They do have several locations and I would not recommend this location. Gastonia is pretty cool and Park Rd isn't so bad. You can eat here but beaware you have a 50% chance of the food being burnt!!! I eat out a lot and I will NEVER go back to Eastway Dr!

INCOMPARABLE AUTHENTIC ITALIALANO FOOD & SERVICE !!!!. Portofino's Authentic Italian rest. was recommended 2 my hubby & I by my sweet hair stylist. She recommended a cheesesteak & told us the cheesesteak would be AUSPICICOUS just like the one's

in philly from a famous Italian cheesesteak stand called PAT'S. She said the food is 2 DIE 4!!!!

My hubby & I were beyond PLEASED! The food is INCOMPARABLE AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD!

The service we received was sooooooo UPSCALE and they R UPSCALE! They really know good

food and how 2 treat people! They have gained 2 dedicated customers! PLEASE, If ur reading this

review & haven't tried PORTOFINO'S please do! U won't be unhappy at all ! It's also a very clean & ROMANTIC atmosphere! Take ur children,celebrate birthdays here! The sky is the llimit with these

YUM. Great place for lunch- portions are huge! I had a thin crust white pizza and it was excellent. Everyone at my table was impressed with their meals

Everyone's family--and they each have a menu favorite at this friendly Italian spot.. The Scene
"Benvenuti!" reads the menu, telling you that your presence is welcome at Portofino. If you don't believe it, just read the smiles on the faces of the folks waving you in: the guy tossing pizza or making a sub to your left as you enter, the server who seats you and eagerly confesses that "everything's good." Seated around you will be families, regulars and police on dinner break from the nearby Charlie 2 district station.

The Food
Entrees include chicken, veal and seafood dishes. Even the salad is delightful, thanks mostly to a secret-recipe dressing made by only the closest family members (the servers aren't even allowed to watch). If you're hungry for pizza, the pies here are an ideal choice, with their chunky-cut toppings and handmade crust. Other winners: Littleneck clams casino and stuffed eggplant.

worth another try. tried the veal.average only but the pasta was decent for a neighboorhood place.large portions good service.worth another try for a pasta dish..modest prices
