Coast through your own happy days at this old-fashioned drive-in..
The Scene
Okay, okay, you could get similar menu treats at the South 21 restaurants on Brookshire Boulevard or North Tryon Street, but for a real retro blast there's no topping this curb service location. Think of it as a Southern "Happy Days": You pull up in your car, view the menu through the window and yell your order into the speaker. Like magic, someone brings a Super Boy burger and fries right to your car.
The Food
Of course, there are other menu choices. Things like fish-o-burgers and wonderful onion rings, to be washed down with tea or lemonade. It's probably not cardiologist-approved, but for a special treat, South 21 is just what the doctor ordered.

Believe me on this one!!!!.
The South 21 on South Blvd. is a Charlotte landmark. Always friendly car hops and the food is worth the trip. Best Burger in the SOUTH..

My family has ordered from this drive-in restaurant for 40+ years and we have never been less than 100% satisfied.

View of the skyline and great burgers..
From the juicy hamburgers to the oversized onion rings, this is definately a Charlotte classis. I grew up sitting in my mom's old Monte Carlo SS eating Superboys and Onion rings.
Their hamburgers are still just as good while the onion rings could not be any better.
