Vanilla and chocolate soft-serve ice cream is the foundation for this chain's popular sundaes, banana splits, peanut butter parfaits, milkshakes and chocolate-dipped Dilly Bars and cones. Blizzards made with such candies as M&M's, chopped up Butterfingers or Reese's Cups are a well-loved favorite.

Race to Finish in 100 degree weather. A tradition in our family is to go to White Lake, NC at least once a summer. We always get a chocolate covered cone and see who can eat theirs not only first but who can finish theirs without dripping a drop. The quality of the chocolate and the vanilla soft ice cream always made this race so much fun - especially against my "Little" brother, Craig Hardee. Even today (I'm close to 49 yrs. old), my husband, daughter and I engage in the same race and it's even hotter now than in years past. Dairy Queen has been a family tradition for 2 - 3 generations.
