Good music.
We went here for the first time last night. The bar service was good, and the drinks weren't very expensive. However....not much seating, we had to hunt for an empty seat, but it wasn't a big deal, Problem came when I tipped very very very well and didn't get a thank you or anything from the barstaff. This morning I started thinking about the bill and realized that they had really overcharged us. They didn't give us an itemized statement and last night I was more concerned with watching the show than my tab.

A place where Charlotte clubhoppers can expect good music no matter what the genre..
In Short
Once a consignment store and many times various kinds of theaters, this historical building is now home to some of the hottest live music in the area. On any given night, you'll hear live jazz, bluegrass, rock, salsa and alternative music filling the club. The Visulite holds 540 people standing and can accommodate 225 seated. Many members of the Elizabeth neighborhood frequent the club, which attracts primarily an adult crowd.

Charlotte's finest music venue!.
This is a marvelous place to catch rock/pop/jam bands/blues or just about any type of music you can imagine... The sound system is outstanding; there is not a bad place in the building to hear a band or performer...Bernie Brown does a wonderful job of booking national, regional and local acts and also encourages the local arts scene with Wordphoria and independent films... A great bar to hear great music at a decent price. The staff is professional and outstanding at what they do.

Don't Panic.
If you're like me and believe that seeing a show not only depends on the band, but the venue; then you have to check out the Visulite Theatre. This small, yet comfortable venue offers a place to see your favorite bands without having to sacrifice intimacy. If the old stage, musty couches, and overall ambience don't lure you in, then just talk to the bartenders. Not only does the Visulite boast as an excellent venue to see a show, but its also an excellent venue to belly up to the bar and have a drink. I love this place and highly recommend any music lover to see a band here. It's a good time!
