Where's the Beef?. Have you ever been to a Chinese place and ordered beef or shrimp only to get your order and there is BARELY any shrimp or beef? That is this place. Not only that but they don't speak english very well. One time i asked them to not cook the broccoli as part of my order. after 5 minutes, speaking with 2 individuals and the manager no one could understand "take a handful of broccoli, skip the stove and place it in my order" WHaht????

I tried to say it as many ways as i could, as slowly as i could.....

Have you ever been to place that you know you have to check your order before you pay? That's this place. There is a subway, arbys, wendys, zoe's, and trader joes all in the same area. Pick one of those instead and avoid this place.

The Emperor's empire is falling.. Last weekend my brother and I just wanted some good chinese food so we ventured, away from our normal venue, to try another place that someone had recommended. In my opinion, the Emperor must be feeling the effects of the current economy because our food was almost black making me believe it had been weeks since the oil was last changed as the chicken tasted smoky and burned. Next our egg rolls were the same dark color with one patch of light where they were floating in the oil and tasted like they were rolled and fried at least three days earlier. The only saving grace was the egg drop soup which was a good broth and was made fresh as the eggs were not overcooked.

When I picked up my food someone in the dining room also mentioned that there food tasted old and wanted a fresh meal prepared and a new tea.

My brother is a chef and I used to be in the restaurant business so we are sometimes too critical. However, we could not eat this food and were far too dissappointed to attempt to have the restaurant try to remediate the situation. I would not recommend this restaurant. It is the very worst food, chinese take-out or other, that I have had experienced.

The one star is only so that it would accept my rating. I will never return.

BEST IN TOWN. This is the best chinese in town. NO MSG FRESH VEGATABLES AND FOOD THAT HAS A WONDERFUL TASTE. IF YOU DON'T GO YOUR MISSING OUT ON GREAT FOOD WITH FAB. FLAVOR. I LOVE THIS PLACE FOR LUNCH IT IS INEXPENSIVE AND GREAT SERVICE FROM REAL PEOPLE. CHECK EM OUT. THANKS ROY FOR ALWAYS GREAT SUB GUM WON TON SOUP. YOUR CLIENT FOR YEARS. MC

Great Chinese food.... Best Chinese in Charlotte, NC. Absolutely. They don't use a gallon of oil for your dish, everything is cooked masterfully and quickly, and they are quick as anything for to-go and delivery. Excellent menus for lunch and dinner. And the best thing? They do NOT use monosodium glutamate (MSG), which can give you what is known as Chinese Restaurant Syndrome (no joke). Most other places do; MSG enhances flavor, but is a very mild -toxin- to some people. Emperor has no part in that. Know what? It makes their food taste better. It's natural, uncomplicated, and very tasty. Highly recommend :)
