Reasonable Company. We have not gotten estimates from other management companies. We have had a good rapport and working relationship with Hiltz Management and feel that their fees are reasonable.
Enjoyed our time. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time on Willoughby St. The townhouse has been perfect for us, and we'll always remember it as we were married while living there!
LOVING it!. Looks like we're all settled in. We're LOVING the place and Charlotte as a whole.

Pete Hiltz is a FRAUD. I purchased a town home in October 2009 that is managed by Hiltz Management Co. Upon purchase I was told by the seller that they had prepaid a few months worth of dues, and that a $975 assessment for painting and wood replacement was paid in full. I called and explained this situation to Hiltz Management and I was told that the dues were paid through March. I suppose it does not surprise me now that I received a letter in April saying I was past due $40, because my account was read incorrectly and the $975 was being eaten away by the monthly dues that were actually only paid through DECEMBER! Then comes time for the promised exterior painting and wood replacement. The painting was supposed to being in June 2010, and did not begin until a YEAR later. Once the job was finished, I ended up with windows painted closed, paint on the windows, cables not re-stapled and rotten wood CAULKED over and loose! It has been months that I have been back and forth with Pete and all I get is one lie after another...I think it is time for this guy to retire. I have been reporting to the BBB and Pete continues to lie on the dispute as well. DO NOT HIRE THESE IDIOTS.
Pete Hiltz will take you for all you've got!. Hiltz management was responsive when taking care of any repair issues that we had. That may have been because they were at fault for not doing the work required when they took over the home for rental management. They never did the intial home inspection or the "walk through" with us. Pete - in his ole' southern drawl, "You seem very busy, so when you get some time we'll go through a punch list." Really? When pressed, he said "You seem like an honest person, just send me your list." I call this getting paid for doing nothing. On the other hand, his office is excellent at getting you off the phone and taking as many messages as you can tolerate giving. But the worst thing is, Pete is dishonest. He will say anything to get you to sign a contract. Be careful! What's in writing is not what you've verbally agreed too. His protocol is a conversation with you and then he tells you "he'll handle the paperwork". As if he were providing a service. It's not a service when someone is trying to take advantage of you and your goodwill. You have to find all of the duplicity and even then it's a game. He claims he missed it - again - and missed it again. "Well your good", he says. And don't bother at being a honest person with integrity. He doesn't care. He expects everybody to be just like him, "A dishonest, back biting callous person". He's a sad soul. I dare say he's in the wrong business, HUMANITY!'
Great Company. The ladies who answered the phone when I called were always courteous. And any time someone was sent out to fix anything, they were very professional and took extra care to keep my floors and the work area clean.
Thank You all for being such a great landlord. Thank You all for being such a great landlord and property manager. I have really enjoyed living here. I hope that if i ever need to move back to Charlotte that i can rent from you again.
