Business traveler. As a business traveler, I always look forward to my trips to Charlotte. Guytano's is one of the finest restaurants that I've had the pleasure dining in either in the US or in Europe. I highly recommend the back room for small business groups. Plan ahead, the place is intimate and the diners are not rushed out for the next seating, so you need that reservation!!
The perfect place for foodies to indulge their taste for Italian..
In Short
Previously located in a reconditioned warehouse, Guytano's is now smack in the middle of South Park, in the ground floor of an office building. For starters, the tomato soup is light and spicy--or try the tower of homemade mozzarella with fire-roasted peppers, vine-ripe tomato, and sundried tomato vinaigrette: It's as imposing and delicious as it sounds. At entree time, if the mahi-mahi with sweet potato gnocchi, spinach, and fresh mushrooms is available, your choice is clear.
Special. The friendliness of the staff was wonderfull, the food is fantastic! I will go back again and again! I dined with 3 others, they all feel the same. Nice music in the background. Oh, and cute wait staff!
Great Anniversary Place. Guytanos is a tradition with us, we go every year on our anniversary. It is a little expensive, but you definately get what you pay for. The ambience is romantic and inviting. The wait staff is excellent and the food is out of this world. MAKE RESERVATIONS! Also good to note that Guytanos has a 102 sanition rating! I definately recommend it for any special occasion.
Wonderful!. The food here is absolutely wonderful. The new location is a little noisy, but the food is makes up for it. I highly recommend the Cracked Pepper Tagliolini with shrimp, lump crab meat, and lobster.
Incredible Atmosphere and Food. Guytano's new location is the only one I've visited, and I couldn't imagine that their old location could have come close. The atmosphere is that of eating on a sidewalk in 19th century Tuscany, lit only by gas-flame street lamps. You have the feeling of being in the middle of a two-story piazza, with flats all around you and stars projected on the ceiling. With second-story balconies and ivy growing plentifully on the walls, I haven't experienced a better atmosphere in Charlotte. And the food matches the atmosphere, with large portions and exquisite flavour and presentation. Truly a great find.
