Pretty Bad with stomach aches. Received a groupon from a friend and was very excited having never been to this restaurant. We were very disappointed. My daughter and I were celebrating and went for lunch. Very nice decor and ordered an appetizer along with 2 entrees. 45 Mins later we received our appetizer with our meal 2-3 mins later. Food was not very good, tasted weird and low end ingredients . The waitress forgot her fruit, and then after reminding her she forgot again. Waitress was very unprofessional. We spoke to the manager and then left. Very Disappointing!

Like another reviewer we both had stomach aches after only appetizers and a few bites of the entrees. DO NOT RECOMMEND! My daughter now calls it the Putrid Rose.

REALLY BAD!. My wife and I met a couple at the Pewter Rose for dinner on Saturday night. It took us over an hour to get our food after we ordered it. One dish was prepared incorrectly (missing the sauce on the vegetables) and two of the meals were cold. My meal, served cold, was absolutely terrible. This seemed to be typical for the service across the restaurant that evening as the patrons at two other tables next to us seemed to be having similar experiences. As if all of this was not bad enough, my wife got a mild case of food poisoning from her meal. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Not that good. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while after hearing about their organic, locally purchased ingredients. Their website mentioned "healthy and vegetarian" food. I went there for brunch and was not pleased. I ordered a black bean burger that was mushy and had the taste of a raw egg (I couldn't eat it). A friend had eggs and bacon which they said weren't very good either. Out of fairness, I have neighbors that really love this place. The decor is interesting and the outside eating area is nice. I just can't get past the food.

Horrific Service. I went to the Pewter Rose based on suggestions that they have a great Sunday brunch. While the food was good, I was completely appalled by the service. And, let's face it, service in a restaurant is just as important as the food, right?. First, we made reservations but had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. I get it...sometimes you are busy and can't completely time the tables...but, 45 minutes late and no apology is inexcusable. Upon being seated, it took 10 - 15 minutes before our waiter even came over to our table. Then another 10-15 minutes to bring our drinks. Then another 10-15 minutes to come back and take our order, despite our telling the waiter that we were ready to order when he brought us our drinks (his response: "ok, I'll be right back"). (For those keeping tally, that's 30-45 minutes at the table waiting because the waiter was not doing his job). Our food came relatively quickly after the order, but our waiter was never to be found to refill coffee, water, or other drinks. After completing our meal, with our empty plates sitting in front of us for 20 minutes, the waiter came, cleared our table, and gave us our bill. I paid our bill, and given that I waited tables through college and thus am I'm a pretty generous tipper, left him a 25% tip even though he was horrendous. A few minutes later, the waiter comes over and tells us we had to leave the table because there were people waiting. To be honest, I was just in shock as I've NEVER been asked to leave a table before, especially since we were waiting around 50 - 60 minutes for our waiter to serve/take our order/etc. and that I had given him a pretty good tip. I guess in a state of shock, we just got up and left. What I should have done was to ask the waiter for my credit card receipt back, and taken away the entire tip. I will never be going back to the Pewter Rose again.

Quaint little place. What a neat little place nestled atop an old brick building in south end. The brunch menu offered some traditional items yet some with flair and ingenuity. Although the service was pleasant, it was somewhat slow. The restaurant was very crowded with a wait at 11:30 on a Sunday morning. Good thing we had reservations. I would love to visit it again soon!
