Be warned. You need to look the part if you want to gyrate at the hottest spot in town. The door staff have carte blanche to pick and choose who gets to bop through the doors.

The Scene
Once you're in Mythos, there are plenty of places to groove. Choose from four bars, the Lipstick Lounge or the back room known as the Oracle. The club was remodeled by the same artist who redesigned New York's Studio 54, and it wears its hipper-than-thou heritage proudly. Regular features include DJs who provide funky Euro and techno tunes coupled with eye-popping laser light shows. Plunk down the bucks for a Mythos "Platinum Card" and you get exclusive access to the VIP room.

Tough to Beat. Mythos still retains some warehouse feel under all the glam. Green lazer lights blaze overhead in the main room with a big dance floor and large stage (buskers performed while I was there). Lounge area with a separate DJ and big multiple wall projections -an impromptu breakdance competition there was wild fun, as was the dancing in general. Lots of trance with good mixing in both rooms Saturday night. Downstairs lounge requires expensive annual fee, but oooh so intimate and elegantly decorated it's a unique statement you're worth it all. Friendly staff, great music and sound systems, nice lighting, and some positively awesome dancers. Hard to beat this.

Mythos Rant. Mythos is a great place to go if you love Techno music and dancing, especially if you're with friends or significant others. They play excellent music and the bathrooms are stocked for all those forgotten essentials. The only problem is that it tends to be crowded and it's hard to get service because so many people are there, but of all the clubs in Charlote, this one has less butt-grabbing, and there's less unwanted advances by sleazy dancers.

Missing 1 VERY important thing. Love Mythos....a bit on the pricy side (drinks and cover) and I never minded it up until several months ago. No one goes there anymore! Don't know if they got tired of the BS some people had to put w/ to get in or if it's just the people in Charlotte. Last time I was there, a whole 50 (the whold crowd there) were packed into the oracle like a heard of cows. Maybe 10 people in the main room at the most. Mythos has lost it's shimmer <sigh>. Though I still feel it's one of the nicest clubs in Charlotte. It ain't a club unless it has the people in it!

best dance club. mythos has the best music and scene in charlotte. I love the vip lounge and all the different music playing there.

There is no other. No Charlotte club has ever dared to bring the caliber of entertainment that Mythos has over the years. The best deejays in the world have spun the tables here and longtime house DJ Andy K has taught this town everything it knows about working a dance floor. This place deserves props.

What NC nightlife SHOULD be. Great music, awesome design, gorgeous people, open atmosphere...you can't beat it. ;o)

Dance the night away. This is the place to be on a Saturday night. Everyone who is anyone is there and the club is thumping until 4:00am. The staff is friendly and personable and will always treat you right. I have been going for 2 1/2 years and have only missed maybe 3 saturday nights. It is the place to be, there is not another club like it in town.
